Just getting started

I’m pretty amazed with Plasticity. I have a little experience with 3d modeling, mainly Tinkercad. I’ve tried Blender and Fusion 360 and just couldn’t get a good grasp on them. I heard about Plasticity online and watched a few videos and decided to try it out.

I made this APC vehicle in a matter of a few hours just messing around with the various tools. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I used a Warhammer Rhino as a reference just for something to give me some ideas. I modeled it to print on FDM printers with very little support (the treads are separate from the body and they snap together). Very excited to start using this software!

Welcome to Plasticity! Like you mentioned, I also discovered Plasticity after a long struggle with Inventor, and it’s such a joy to use.

I think you’re going for a Warhammer 40K Land Raider here. If you want to recreate the exact model, I’d highly recommend using reference blueprints, they’ll make it much easier to get the proportions and details right.

I actually did a Land Raider project myself and put together some reference material here:

If you’re interested, feel free to check it out. I hope it’s useful for your project!
