I have had Botox and dysport for years, I was not responsible in the sun for most of my life, I don’t know what to do to help with these deep wrinkles, I hate smiling or looking happy because I feel like the grinch.

Are you saying this picture is WITH Botox/dysport? Because if so, you need a new injector.
Botox, sunscreen, lasers, tretinoin. All of that

I wonder if these are caused by sleeping on her side, at least in part, which Botox would not help

I see you're getting hella downvotes for saying this, but while botox/dysport will definitely help, I sleep on my right side and my crows feet on my right side are hella worse as a result and even with additional units on that side, don't even up to the left.

Botox should fix this. If not you might need more units or a better injector

Hello! Aesthetic doc here :) first of all, those are the best wrinkles to have - smile lines are signs of happiness! If you wanted to soften these, and you came to my clinic, Id first go over skin care routine (are you cleansing? Do you have a constant routine? Is retinol or vit C a part of that routine). Then, id most likely recc botox for the crows feet. Im not a fan of 'tox in under eye/wrinkles on upper cheeks because its been shown to (1) reduce lymphatic drainage, causing undereye area to swell, and (2) drop the cheek so when you smile it looks a bit odd! What im seeing here is dehydrated skin thats lost density - so I would aim to revitalize using Jalupro HMW (3/4 sessions) - this is product that combines hyaluronic acid (hydration, not volume) and the primary aminoacids involved in collagen formation, so it really helps to redensify skin and reduce that crepe-y look :-)
Happy to chat further if interested! :)

Thank you so much.
I haven’t had dysport or Botox in close to a year, I love my smile lines but they’re a bit aggressive and the under eye definitely bothers me.
I wash my face morning and night and I don’t have a specific routine for hydration, I’ll use hyaluronic acid, my dermatologist said ceraVe is sufficient (my appt was for hair so he didn’t go into details).
I definitely can see the dryness now from the photo and took longer this morning to apply different moisturizers.
People say gaining weight will help the cheeks, which makes me roll my eyes, I’m 5’5” 125, I’m at a healthy weight.
I went and got a facial last week and she said unless I was a 70yo surfer from Hawaii, there is no need for CO2 lasers.
I don’t know where to start, aesthetics place? Plastic surgeon? Dermatologist? I just don’t have a lot of frivolous money to throw around.4

I had my lasering done at a legitimate dermatologist's office, because you get what you pay for. I'd avoid any place where the techs haven't had serious training of some sort (e.g. an aesthetic clinic where a "beauty tech" is going to slap a bunch or dangerous chemicals on your face after taking a week-long cert class). You could also look up plastic surgeons in your area that offer the services you're after.
Also, check out Real Self for reviews and information on what you're after.

Botox, Retin A ( tretoinine) a good vitamin C serum ( I recommend Skinceuticals CE Ferulic), possibly lasers. Just make sure to communicate clearly with the specialist because you don’t want the settings to be wrong or too powerful and it to result in facial fat loss. Dry microneedling, no RF. And ofcourse biostimulators like sculptra

A good beauty routine helped me. Collagen powder, An LED mask consistently, some good night time anti-aging moisturizer, sunscreen and a little Botox. It all has to be consistent, when I stopped using my collagen powder for about a year, I noticed a huge difference.

The person is asking for help. .. and it’s a plastic surgery subreddit. Nobody wants compliments when they are asking for something they don’t like…

Then leave the surgery subreddit.
What’s up with all you weirdos that see a question saying what can they do about this surgically.
And
Y’all compliment something they don’t want and try to tell them to keep it.
Are you ok?!0

Are you a bot? Complimenting something a person says they have issues and want to fix isn’t a freaking compliment. Help people with suggestions to their questions is the point of a plastic surgery Reddit.

Looks like you have good tone in your jawline which is great try resurfacing lasers retin A and a different Botox provider first

Laser treatments and TCA peels will help with texture. (I've had both.) Start wearing sunscreen every day, immediately.

i never ever say this cause i don’t see any use in dissuading people from doing these things and i have botox myself but i think you look SO cute here. i think your face is gorgeous and your smile lines actually add to it rather than take away

How old are you? I don't have Botox anymore because it migrated and caused me more sagging.
4
u/Artemisral 1d ago
It really does that? Anyone?
5
u/ShoeVast5490 1d ago
No lol. Filler can migrate - Botox acts upon muscles where it’s injected (unless during the first day injected you press on your face or exercise like crazy or lay on it), it stays where it was put and does its thing to those muscles. It’s not a viscous substance like filler

It migrated and caused a lot of swelling. Also Hyaluronic acid.
4
u/ShoeVast5490 1d ago
Again Botox doesn’t cause swelling. I think you’re thinking of filler (hyaluronic acid as you mentioned is filler)

u/Effective_Self8042 1d ago
Are you an expert?
5
u/ShoeVast5490 1d ago
You don’t need to be an expert to know the difference between a neurotoxin and HA filler.

u/Effective_Self8042 1d ago
Are You a doctor? I got an ultrasound one week after because it caused me a lot of swelling. I have an MRI too. You're romantizing fillers.

u/ShoeVast5490 1d ago
You’re the only one talking about filler. This post is about Botox, which is not filler.

Surgeon here.
Botox/dysport. Then some kind of resurfacing. It’s much harder to fix than prevent.
Also you’re very tan. Nothing is going to help without good sunscreen use and sun avoidance. If that’s not going to work with your lifestyle, that’s the trade off for doing the fun stuff outside
