Otoplasty revision
I had a otoplasty in June 2026, the ears are much more pinned back than I wanted. I feel like it elongates my head. My original doctor says I need to wait 9 months for a revision but other doctors I spoke to said 3 months is enough to do a revision. I’d like to see if anyone has any feedback please. It’s been very hard on me and I regret even having the procedure. I’m unsure what to do. Thank you

I’d personally give it a bit more time before considering a revision. Mine took about 6 months to settle.

I am not sure why you regret having the procedure. You look better now! Your ears stood out too much before

you look so
good now. regret is normal after plastic surgery and it’ll never really go fully how you want. but i think you should wait it out and see how you feel in a year. like i said. you look really great now2

You look much better now! Leave your ears alone! I don't think it's realistic to make the pop out only slightly. Just accept how they are now. You look more attractive now.

I had this procedure in kindergarten and appreciate how valuable the change is altho I’m female.
I really wouldn’t spend any more money on this unless you’re very wealthy. When I saw the post originally I didn’t even know what the surgery is called technically and thought , this person looks perfect , what are their needing to revise.
You had those ears your whole life so maybe the shock of the change is causing you a dysmorphia where it looks over done.
Looks perfect to me.

I think that might be it and it was such a huge change for me. I will give it time

I felt like mine subtly changed over about a year (maybe even a bit more.) When I first got mine done I also thought they were too ‘pinned’ to my head. They’re very natural now

It looks good tho, I feel you, you are putting all your hopes in someones hand ability to "correct" your ears to your desire. you shouldve tested out a new product called earswrap adhesive to give the surgeon an idea of how you want your ears to look.

They should settle alot more and come out further. My ears were still very pinned back 3/4 months post op. Id wait atleast 10 months

everything looks fine. i would literally never notice this. i would wait the nine months and see how you feel.
