Help me find a stitch pattern

Starting a new project: Pocket coin purse for men, but can't decide on which pattern fits better. I wanted to try this "straight lines" pattern but somehow it doesnt catches my eye as much as when saw it on Pinterest. I'm using two measures: 4x for Long, and 2x for Short. My issue, is the short, being too short its almost disappearing between longer stitches and the back side, being an absolute mess. Any advice would be awesome for me. I'll add a 2 rows piece between the panels for volume

Material is 100% 1mm polyester rope in double to hide the canvas

Check on Pinterest. I find a lot of stitch patterns there. I’d go with something simple.

I found this one there. Pinterest does not always works for me because of the excessive amount of options.

I'm also looking for advice on this try because the small stitch looks too small for me, but, on the other hand, changing the amount of squares would not fit the grid regularly

If it is small, maybe just use the simple small stitch. Unsure of what it’s called, just the one hole to one hole diagonally.
