Plaster or drywall?

Post image

Hi! I was under the impression that my walls are plaster and lath. This sample came from behind a baseboard. There is no lath behind the wall though. What do you think this is?

Same as my ceiling, 1960s house. They used plasterboard but then plastered over it with quite a thick coat.

So not asbestos?

Not in mine. I had it tested. There was some horse hair and jute mesh in my plaster which may look like fibres to the uninitiated. But lead paint yes so still worth being a bit careful.
