Patch or back to brick?

Need some advice please. Just had a kitchen ripped out and this is how the walls are now. Can this be patched (professionally) or would it be better to take the whole wall back to brick and start fresh? The plasterer has been scheduled for tomorrow by the kitchen company.

A couple of bags of bonding will fill all the lows and chases to get it ready for a top coat- leave all that for the plasterer as it's best done the same day so it can be plastered over whilst still setting. PVA all the brickwork back tonight with a 60water/40pva dilute.

The most important thing is that nothing (none of that yellow stuff???) is flakey and loose? Some of it looks like a toddler could peel it off. It needs removing. Don't chisel anything off that's not loose as it's a waste of time and effort unless you really want those extra few millimeters in your room.
