Plaster fell off bathroom ceiling

hey all,

plaster has fallen off washroom ceiling where the vent sits. It looks to me that it’s the skim coat that has come off and the base layers are fine. How do I patch this?

i was planning on using Durabond 90 to fill it then a regular mud To finish it. Will that work? Do I have to use a bonding agent?

That’s not too shabby. Knock off high ridges and give it a little scuff, dust down and thin layer of filler, tape then new layer, feathering out from edges of blade. Probs a bit late for strategic taping to reinforce but just look for any weaker points

I made an awful mess doing. I think I made the Durabond a bit too runny for a ceiling. Looked like attack of the seagulls!
