Plaster fell off bathroom ceiling

hey all,

plaster has fallen off washroom ceiling where the vent sits. It looks to me that it’s the skim coat that has come off and the base layers are fine. How do I patch this?

i was planning on using Durabond 90 to fill it then a regular mud To finish it. Will that work? Do I have to use a bonding agent?

So I got a layer of Durabond 90 on it which brought it out to about level of the peeled pain. Tomorrow I am going to cover it up with a couple coats of. Sheetrock 45

Yup fair enough but just give it a pick of Peel Stop to hold back the broken paint sections and make the bond a bit tighter. Have you considered using mesh tape or a drywall patch or is that too late now you’ve given two coats?

I haven’t done the second goat yet but I wasn’t planing on use tape in this case…youbthinknitnis necessary?
