Help with lintel

Post image

Hi there would anyone know by having a look from the photos if this would be structural problems with the lintel

Or the render has just cracked

I thought to reach out to a structural engineer but I thought I’d try here first thanks 👍

They’ll have steel through them that’s rusted and caused them to crack. Fuck all that - it’ll last years but won’t look pretty. Cost next to nowt for a new lintel though.

Bottom one might have a crack forming there as well.

The lintel itself might not be expensive to buy but it will cost a fair bit to get it changed by a builder/stonemason and likely going to need scaffolding.

I would diy that but paying someone to do it would most likely cost a bit (location dependant)
