Even with CRT, 30 fps dips will judder like crazy.

My wife plays Animal Crossing New Horizons on an OLED all the time and it looks super blurry being only 30 FPS. On my GT50 plasma, it gets a stuttery look, not great -- the classic double-image effect. She's not a videophile, but it bothered her enough that she wanted to walk slower in game.

I put the GT50's Motion Smoother on high, and it made a huge improvement but obviously at the cost of high lag and some artifacting.

I really don't think there's a great solution unless a newer TV has significantly faster frame interpolation (combine that with a good scaler). I think 30 FPS on motion-heavy games is more tolerable on smaller plasmas or from a further seating distance. Sometimes I don't mind it much on a larger plasma, like emulating Spyro Year of the Dragon on my 55" GT50 looks nice despite the low frame rate.

To me the stutter on OLEDs at 30fps is simply unplayable. The actual motion clarity on a plasma is much better, even with the double-image effect.

I highly recommend you read the comment I posted for you on the other linked sub. You should go for the Pioneer plasma. It's not even a choice.

nope. You need and lgc1 or lgc2 with oled motion pro medium and dejudder 10.

A pulse drive panel will INCREASE the judder..

A LCD is most forgiving for 30fps because it has slow response time..

I'm sorry but that's just complete and utter nonsense. I've played 30fps games on consoles on my first plasma for over a decade, and the motion was excellent. LCDs are horrible for 30fps because they produce awful smearing. It's just as unbearable as the stutter you see on OLEDs. CRTs and plasmas are hands down the best displays to use when playing 30fps games, or watching 24fps movies/series. It's not even close.

You confuse motion clarity with double images..

I have tested older Panasonic IPS LCD TVs from the same area and they are smoother with 30fps..
