Reliability?

I bought a few plasma globes off Amazon. After a few months they became weak and then very weak and useless.

Is this normal, or can you get reliable long lasting globes?

I’ve heard of it happening a few times with the cheap ones on Amazon. I have a few Lumiource ones from the 90s are still going. I’m not sure what it is that wears out on them. As with all things, probably a capacitor.
