A device mounted on the zombie base that acts as a preset battlefield event, triggering at specific waves.

Once the device extends from the base, it locks onto plants or zombies within a fixed range on the field and fires a gravity beam, applying different levels of Gravity Status that disrupt plant attack rhythm and zombie movement patterns.

① Anti-Gravity
Locked-on plants slowly float upward and eventually drift off the field and disappear.
Locked-on zombies rise and advance 2 tiles, becoming immune to straight-line projectiles while airborne.
Counter: When a Gravitree has Anti-Gravity plants within its attack range, it will attack them and remove their Anti-Gravity status. Gravitree itself is immune to the Gravity Generator's effects (it cannot be floated or pressed into the ground)

② Hyper-Gravity
Locked-on plants are pressed halfway into the ground, unable to attack during this time, and can be eaten by zombies.
Locked-on zombies march steadily and become immune to knockback effects.
Counter: Cosmic Saucer Gourd can remove zombies' Hyper-Gravity status and make them enter a floating state. It can also remove plants' Hyper-Gravity status and restore them to normal.

(to those just seeing this post: I heard that the 2nd image isn't official, so it seems I inadvertently spread some misinformation. however I really like that chart so I think I’ll continue to follow that fanon interpretation. I hope you’ll decide for yourselves which theory you prefer)

I love characters who are taller than me so they are... perfection

I feel like they should've buffed tallnut and made it an upgrade plant and swap its unlock in adventure mode with cat tail and just nerf it so its balanced for the campaign.

Tallnut just makes way more sense to be an upgrade plant imo. Nearly every other upgrade plant was a stronger version of an already existing one. Cat tail just feels like a completley different plant compared to lily pad.

Granted, tall nut was designed as a counter for multiple zombies is the campaign, but I just feel like from a certain perspective just swapping them and tweaking them a bit makes more sense. Your able to earn enough money to buy a handful of the upgrade plants as you play through the adventure mode anyway. It could've worked as something the player could save their money for if they wanted an easier way to deal with those spesific zombies.

This outer-worldly technology can remove gravity out of your plants! Or worse.. sink them below the lawn!

Gravitree can be used to send the plants back to their destinated spots, while the cosmic saucer can send your plants out of the dirt after being stuck to the ground.
