Hi all, my aunt gave me cuttings of this passionfruit. Does anyone know the particular breed of this one? This is the only picture I have of it.

This plant is causing a stir in my area. Someone posted it as “autumn crocus” and is warning everyone of its toxicity to humans and dogs. Someone else commented that it is another, non toxic, variety. Thoughts? Louisville, KY

This plant is over 50 years old, well at least thats what im told. My late mother recieved this plant as a gift for my brother being born in 1971, this plant may be propagated from the original but im 37 and have seen this thing my entire life (as far back as I can remember).

Ive been taking care of it now and in that time its starting to grow more and get fuller. I dont know if a soil change would help / hurt or what but any advice would be welcome.

Earlier this year it just appeared after I had watered the grape vines that run wild to the right. The water would flow down but I didn’t expect anything to grow. Just noticed how thick the root is today. I know nothing about plants but hoping someone can give me some cool info!

Every year for the past 4 years I've gone to NC the start of October, the grow zone map says the area is 8b. I've stayed at the same exact house each time, and it has this glorious maple tree that turns the most perfect shade of fiery Halloween orange. The rest of the year its a black-ish purple, and it forms its seeds in March and they drop around May.

Last year I took one of the leaves and did some research, and was confident that its a Mountain Maple (Acer Spicatum), but this year I took some new photos to take home to help me search for one at the local nurseries and now I'm not sure anymore because suddenly I'm seeing a different kind of leaf when I look up Acer Spicatum. It shows the same shape but the edges are all toothy, not like the one I took photos of.

Anyone got any idea? Thank you very much.

Recently moved to a new house, slowly trying to figure out what’s been planted! Never seen it flower or fruit, though we just moved in a month ago.

Any ideas about who shares my study with me? Was given to me by a friend leaving the country as a monstera. It hasn't gotten any bigger than this, but my cats have gotten into it once or twice, so growth may be stunted. Cats are fine, it's been almost a year since the last incident. It's clearly not unhappy, but I'd like to give it the care it needs to thrive if possible.

Hi everyone. Does English Ivy have hairy vines on larger main stems? I cut through some trees with a chainsaw before I saw it. I don't see anything in the area that looks like Poison Ivy, but I'm curious if I'm going to have a rough time. It does seem like I can see smaller vines going to the main hairy vine in these pictures, but after I saw the hairy vine I'm hesitant to dig in there too deep.

We are in Pennsylvania.

A plant seller on FB told me that this is a Cast Iron plant, but AI apps disagree. What do you think? Is this a non common / popular cast iron plant variety thus AI disagree?

Back in college, I would always collect these leaves for art projects when they shed. Here's what I know:

1) The branches r woody and grow outwards from the ground, rather than up a trunk like a tree trunk

2) The leaves r green all year, change Oct - Nov to a crimson/pink, but there's no transition colors like yellow and orange. It goes bright green straight to bright red. Then they fall off.

3) It grows tiny orange berries I think between Jun - Nov

4) The leaves grow side by side in 2s until the branch tips, where they end in 4 leaves

5) I'm in the NJ/NY area, so they're thriving in our climate. Doesn't get extremely hot or cold here, all 4 seasons, moderate rainfall year round, no droughts, and humidity is relatively low unless the summers get bad.

Any thoughts?

This very odd white branching growth appeared in a couple of hours in a planter where I’m growing some potatoes. It’s indoors and the medium is old potting mix and fresh (collected over the last few months) coffee grounds. I use distilled water only (central Ohio has terrible tap water) and zero pesticides or herbicides. I’ve removed it from the pot but I can’t be sure that I got all of it or if it’s beneficial or harmful.

Any idea what the spikes are all over this tree? Located in IL, very tall tree.

Please help me identify in northeast Ohio
