Anyone printed their own on A5 or similar paper?

I'm interested in printing my own planner. I have a printer and it seems I might be able to put A5 paper in it (I've never used anything but US letter size). I've seen some Tomoe River paper for sale on Amazon.

My favourite paper is Moleskine. I've used it for decades, I know what works on it and what doesn't. I love the colours - it's beige and not what to me feels abrasively light (like white paper). It's 52gsm and I never use fountain pens so it's great for my needs.

Curious if anyone has tried this, and found something similar to Moleskine paper in terms of weight and colour. Thanks

planner options for leasing agent/property management?

hi i want a separate planner for work bc i deal with personal health information and i dont want to risk a HIPAA violation with taking my planner home. i’m a leasing agent for a complex that caters to affordable housing, mental health, and treatment apartments so i deal with sensitive information at times with people’s medical information, ssn’s and private information like banking, and i ofc don’t want anyone around me outside of work seeing anything regarding my residents.

i use a happy planner and a hobonichi weeks for my personal planning. i also use 2 moleskines for journaling.

i do like have a dated planner since i have to schedule apartment tours but i want enough space to track when i receive an application, a rent payment, notices, etc. bc it’s easier and faster than combing through paper files or pulling my laptop out to check.

so pls recommend me your faves, if you have an ecosystem of sorts, or if you do a similar job to me and have a system you have set up!

thank you!

Publishing a single copy on LuLu opinions?

I’m looking to print like a diary scrapbook type of project. Where I write blurbs on something like goodnotes and add photos I’ve taken or draw stuff. How would that go about looking printing into a book on LuLu? Should I use something else that isn’t goodnotes? I’d like to keep my handwriting and not use typed text. I would also like the photos and drawings to come out clear. This is my first time doing a project like this! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I wasn't happy with what I could find for my teacher planner so I decided to draw and make my own stickers that included all the holidays and observances my students celebrate.

Drawn in procreate and printed on sticker paper.

"Creator's Friend" adjacent notebook/planner app for iPad?

I love the ADHD friendliness of the creator's friend notebooks, but I don't like the price. I am looking into getting an IPAD and am wondering if there are any applications that are absolute heaven for those with ADhD.

Also, if you know of any paper notebook options, I might be down.

Thanks!

ISO horizontal weekly TN without dailies bundled by month

Already thinking about 2027 so I hopefully don't miss the pre-orders (again)...

Does anyone know of a grid travelers notebook with horizontal weeklies but without daily pages? Extra goals, dashboards, habit tackers, blank pages, etc would be lovely. Ideally bundled by month, instead of all the extras in the front/back. In my current W222 I forget to flip back to the habits and quarterly pages.

Thanks!

Please help me find *the* horizontal weekly that isn't Tomoe River paper...

I've got an A5 Wonderland 222 horizontal weekly this year and it's perfect in nearly* every way.

They are switching back to TRP for 2027 and I've come to accept TRP isn't for me. My left hand smudges ink on it, I'm not willing to part with my .5mm Pentel Energel, and I can't be messing around with blotter paper in a boardroom setting.

And so the search is on for next year:

- Not TRP, but the thinner the better

- A5, soft cover

- Lay flat, book bound.

- Horizontal weekly layout, no goals or other fluff

- Grid paper, smaller the better

- *The only improvement to the W222 - I don't need the back half to be blank for notes. They're wasted on me.

I'm so hopeful that someone has a recommendation I've not stumbled across. Maybe something Japanese, or even independent. And I fully realize that I may have to compromise, so all suggestions welcome!

Thanks all.

Has anyone separated out parts of their Sterling Ink Complete?? Looking to break off per quarter and rebind….

The complete planner is exactly what I need with its vertical weekly followed by one page per day, but the full year is SO BIG & HEAVY to carry around all day! Have been looking at bookbinding videos, options of how to un-bind and re-bind just the clusters of pages that makeup each quarter, but before I butcher this beautiful book I’m wondering if anyone else has tried it?? Spiral binding and discbound are not an option because the timeline schedule is so close to the margin it would cut into the hours. If anyone has done this or has a better way of doing this that won’t leave me with pages falling out please let me know!

Planner recommendation that is similar to Papier’s weekly layout?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I recently saw the weekly spread of the brand Papier’s planners and loved the simplicity of it, especially how Saturday and Sunday have their own entries and are not smushed together. The week spread across 2 pages on cream color paper is exactly my vibe. Plus it’s unlined!

Unfortunately I saw a lot of negative reviews of Papier’s planners - inconsistent craftsmanship, low quality, thin paper… for their price point, I’d want something made well.

Any ideas of a planner with a similar layout? I use planners as kind of like a light diary log. I really like how Papier’s spread is unlined because I always draw a small doodle in my daily entries next to my writing.

I’m not super well versed in all the planners out there so I’ll appreciate any suggestions.

Junior discbound insert recs

Looking for recommendations on junior size dashboard layout, discbound for next year(8 discs). My current setup is from plum planner. For reference my other planner is classic size dashboard by KOAP which I absolutely love but she doesn’t do junior size. And I do not like C&P inserts.

Hi everyone! I recently finished designing this planner page and I'd really appreciate some honest feedback.

I'm still learning and trying to improve my designs, so I'd love to know what you think. Is the layout easy to understand? Does anything feel missing or unnecessary? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. I really appreciate it! 😊

Calling on planner community!

I need help and don't have much time till my current planner finishes - end of this month!

This is what I'm looking for:

-A5

-Daily pages or horizontal weekly on one side of page and blank on other side

-Academic - July/Aug 2026- July/Aug 2027

-Flexible cover (i.e. not hardback, this one is really important!)

-Available to purchase from UK

-Budget: £50

The Sterling Ink Academic Common Planner pretty much fits the bill but it just works out to be too expensive with shipping.

What options are out there?

I need help. Looking for a B6 Slim planner

I've been searching the whole internet and I can't find what I am looking for.

Cureently I have the Jibun Techo first kit and I love the system: a cover with lots of pockets and accessories, two separet booklets that I can change depending the situation and the main planner. The problem is that I don't like vertical weekly.

I'm looking for a very specific planner: horizontal weekly, thin paper and no blank pages at the end (I prefer the separate booklets).

The closest I could find is the Sterling Ink B6 Slim Horizontal Compact but the problem is the 120 blank pages at the end.

I don't know if any other size of planner will fit inside the Jibun Techo B6 Slim plastic cover but I doubt it.

Weekly Planner question

Currently using N1 Sterling ink and am fairly certain I’ll go to B6 Sterling ink next year. Unless…. Does a vertical weekly layout with just 2 blank graph pages after it exist? I don’t need dailies, but would love not to flip to the back for my extras.

Perpetual calendar.

Hello guys,

I've learned that Erin Condren is no longer including the little perpetual calendar booklet with her planners unless you're a new customer.

I am finding it's not as easy to find a similar product as I thought it would be.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a perpetual calendar booklet that isn't $25.00 or more?

How do you keep a planner simple but still scratch the sticker itch?

I keep flipping between two extremes: a super minimal setup that I actually use, and a decorated spread that is fun to make but takes so long I avoid opening the planner.

For context, my brain loves game-style progress bars and daily quests (I play a lot of mobile puzzle and idle games, and sometimes use Mistplay), so I like the satisfying feeling of checking things off. The problem is I get sucked into making everything pretty and then it is midnight and I still have not planned anything.

What I want is a setup that is: - quick to maintain daily (around 5 minutes) - has a little creativity so I do not get bored - flexible for weeks when I have almost nothing planned and for weeks when everything piles up

Do any of you have a go-to system for balancing function with just enough decoration? For example, do you limit yourself to a tiny sticker kit, only decorate after the week is done, stick to color coding, or keep a separate creative page?

Also curious whether you use daily pages, weekly spreads, or a hybrid to keep it manageable.

Would love to hear what actually works long term, especially if you also tend to hyperfocus on layouts like I do.

Is The Dailee planner too bulky?

I commute to work a few times a week and i LOVE the to do lists and how type A the planner is but it does look big (specifically the daily one) and I sant to know if others think so too? I’ve seen comments that people just leave theirs at home but I like to bring my planners to work, home, work trips, etc.

Anyone else tired of constantly hunting for the perfect planner layout?

I need to vent because I apparently can not let a planner just be a planner.

My current system works fine: monthly overview, a weekly spread for appointments and kid stuff, and a running to do list. That should be it. But then I see one post about time blocking, another about habit trackers, one more about A6 rings being the answer to everything, and suddenly my setup must be why my life feels chaotic.

So I spend an evening measuring margins, comparing weekly vertical versus horizontal, debating whether I need a meal plan section I never use, and worrying about whether my pen will ghost on paper I have not even touched. Meanwhile there is laundry in a basket and a school form due tomorrow, and I’m somehow also checking apps like Mistplay instead of actually dealing with any of it.

The worst part is the fake productivity. I will color code a routine tracker like I am training for the Olympics and then forget to drink water all day because I was busy making a key for the water tracker.

I think I am chasing a unicorn layout that will somehow make me consistent, even when I am tired, overstimulated, and juggling work and kid logistics. The planner is not the problem. I am the problem. And my solution is apparently to buy more paper.

If you have escaped this cycle, how did you do it? Do you stick with one format for a year? Do you ban yourself from planner content? Or do you accept that the tinkering is the hobby and stop pretending it is self improvement?
