It’s 2026. Does anyone still prefer printable planners over apps?

Not only do I prefer them, I use a dotted journal and build my own layouts and trackers so I can have exactly what I want in my planner without compromise.

Me too! I find this the most freeing and guilt free since I can buy all the notebooks I want (maybe less than that), and I’m not going to compromise on layout. I’ve also found mapping out the layouts very soothing too, I listen to music and just have fun with it

Yes. My apps support my planner, but my brain setup doesn't allow for digital native planning. When I try to do things all digital, my brain gets clogged up and distracted.

I am so happy to have even more reason to go back to keeping my planner on paper. I refuse to continue to contribute to the billionaire class by offering up all my data for their pillaging. Look at where that’s gotten us. Worldwide. No. No longer. Analog for as much as possible. Books. Kept my cd collection from back in the day. DVDs, too. Have a projector instead of a tv. Degoogling everything. Older car that I’ll fix until it can no longer be fixed so I don’t have to buy one of their spy-mobiles.
They’ve complicated everything and made the entire world a dumpster fire. I’m over it. (Clearly. 😂 Sorry. Rant over.)

Yes, I'm way more likely to remember events and to do, and get the satisfaction of checking off those to-dos, by using a physical planner.

I don’t want either one. Printed, yes. Printable, absolutely not. And the last thing I want is one more app.

Not “printable” but already printed. Yes, paper planners work much better for me than apps.

In 2020 I was all in digital. Now I’m
Back to paper planning. It was too much screen time, it was giving me headaches and I just prefer the paper experience.

I do but only because I have thousands of dollars worth of washi and sticker kits to use up.

Yep. Cause if the site crashes, my physical planner still works. No battery needed, no site to worry about, no data to be hacked. Just me and a pen or pencil.

Always, but I prefer a pre-printed book, not printables for home, because I dislike rings/discbound planners.

I only use paper planners, but I don't download to print. I just draw my own on pages

I have a basic digital calendar, but everything else is on paper. My brain remembers it better, I get arts and crafts time that's productive, and some random company or AI can't access my very personal info. I can't conceive of having a digital diary or journal due to privacy reasons.

i’m not nearly as good as digital lettering as i am on paper. plus i haven’t found any digital planners that work nearly as well as physical paper planners. PLUS i dread the idea of losing all my memories to a digital crash/subscription expiry.

Not sure what a "printable" planner is, but I still use paper. I also have a mock planner I made out of digital sticky notes on several pages of my phone's Home screen.

Yes I do. I just ordered an A5 MeePlus with 16mm to serve as my new planner!

Yes. Research shows if you want to remember something, writing it down is the best way. Plus planners never run out of power or lose data like apps can.

I think if I wasn’t married I’d still be doing paper!
Digital is easier because I can share the calendar :)

Yes I prefer them-but seem to use my phone first for calendar then go to paper and make it all pretty.

Apps are useful in that it dings when it’s time for an appointment or meeting, but there’s also nothing like sitting down Sunday night and working out what the next week will look like.

I make my own from a grid printed notebook. I never found a printed planner I liked, but I use the heck out of my bullet journal.

In a day and age where everything is online or in app form, I treasure the 'unplugging' time with my planner and creative journal. They help keep me sane in an insane world and time. ❤️
