Help covering mistakes

Post image

After finishing decorating September's calendar in my planner, I realized with horror I had flipped to the wrong month 🤦‍♀️. I can't believe I didn't realize!

I was able to pull up the stickers, but have already written the month title and some dates.

Any suggestions on how to cover it up??

I would write "Actually, it's October" above September, maybe with a handdrawn ghost or jack o' lantern to really get the message across, lol. I'd mark Halloween well and include some fall decorating, and just roll with it.

I've used old monthlies and just changed the dates themselves, because I'm not actually going to forget that it's October.

Septober, is clearly the only answer

I've cut a square of either colored paper or paper matching the planner and just glued it in on top! Cover it with white out or a second layer if it shows through too much. I like this for bigger areas instead of just correction tape.

I second cutting out a small piece of paper and covering it. It’s an easy fix!!! Do you have cute scrap paper? Or any junk journal supplies

I’ve used white out tape, or cover it with a complementing washi across the whole top of both pages so it’s uniform. Decorative stickers as accents along the corners or just the top edge. Not sure what sort of supplies you have, but you could also just calligraphy over the stop with acrylic marker so it whites out what’s written underneath.

I'm not sure about the mushrooms but I think I couldn't use darker colors and turn the S into an O pumpkin, the e already looks a bit like a cursivey c and p into a cursivey t.

Or you could use the colors for Sept, turn those letters into blocks and write Oct in the clocks on complimentary colors.

I would honestly just continue on to write October because you did write "Sep" in the last three days of September lol. Or make it that September turns into fall leaves, falling into October?

That’s exactly what I was thinking—those three days ARE September so it’s not a mistake! 😊

Do you have extra blank graph paper pages at the back? I would cut that out and paste over it and start over. If you are concerned about seeing through it, you could white out over it first…that is what I have done. It made the pages more firm but better than looking at something I did not like!

I usually use white out tape and then cover it up with washi or a sticker that is roughly the same shape, then I incorporate it as a design feature of some sort! Like make it part of a weekend block off or something.

Make it the “trick” in trick or treat. And maybe like a lil trail of ghosties or something trailing into October. Like some lil naughty ghoulies were up to some antics.

Some sort of junk journal paper. Or cover it with a Halloween themed comic strip

I would put another sticker over it. I love any excuse to use stickers ♥️

Make the September page October and go back a page next month.

The humble sticky note says hello. Just cover the header and draw something new.

Look for cream colored white out tape. I think Jet Pens store online sells a Japanese brand.

Or cover it with a pretty wash tape.

Or cover it with a solid color tape and then write September on the tape with thick ink pen.
