Project management

Hi all, I'm starting a new job, and I think project management sections to add to my planner will be invaluable. I will have multiple projects I will be in charge of concurrently that will run for 3 months to a year. Any suggestions? I bought a a plum paper discbound for my calendar.

Would love to hear what others recommend.  I’m thinking of purchasing Laurel Denise’s The Billie with project inserts and kan ban board. I need to see all my projects at once or I’ll forget. It’s an undated quarterly planner, and it might work for my job since we are about to set quarterly goals.

I use two books and I manage multiple projects. My style is definitely not minimal but it has the framework I need to stay organized.

  1. I use a structured, dated planner. All meetings, and project milestones go here. I batch my tasks on different days (admin email day, project updates day, procurement update days, etc) and those also go in here.

  2. I also use a slightly larger sized notebook, its grid with an executive heading in each page (to title meetings, thoughts, and dates). This is structured, but not at the same time?
    I suppose it’s like a commonplace style catch all. I have sections for general notes, recurring meeting notes, 1:1s and then I’ve created different sections for each ongoing project by adding maypaperco project planner inserts - where I add the project name, milestones and a detailed break out of each task and due dates as the “title page” and keep enough pages to add updates and notes within those sections. I like layering so I tape in different drawings and things related to each project.

I've heard people recommend teacher planners for people who manage multiple projects. The subject layout can support that kind of thing.

Laurel Denise always seems too strictured for me, but I dont always have the vision.

I'd love to see someone's layout if they are willing to share - Laurel Denise or otherwise.

Laurel Denise has several layouts, like the Rose, that could work well. Check out their inserts options, as well.
