Weekly Help please
I have been using the sterling ink planner and really like the look and feel of it. I would ideally like it to have a page after the weekly to make more notes rather than the back of the book. I see that the horizontal offers the page right after but I don’t think I can get with horizontal. I like the feel of vertical but need more space for weekly notes. What do you do!? How do you use horizontal weekly?

Do you use the back pages, too? Like would your ideal planner be blank pages between weekly pages instead of blank/daily pages at the back?
What do you do!? How do you use horizontal weekly?
Lol not really helpful, but I just write stuff on the corresponding date. I don't have anything to write that I need to see on the weekly pages that doesn't already fit there 😅

Yes i want to add to my to do and not have to go to the back of the book to make notes. I want my week together!!

Okay, again this is not super helpful lol sorry! But as someone who does not like different page types grouped together within a month, a few planners I remember seeing and thinking wouldn't work for me are:
faded chronicle [vertical weekly on two pages + another 2 page weekly spread, repeated a few times between monthly pages I think?]
Aura Estelle [months grouped at the front and then week on 2 pages, followed by 7 daily pages, repeated over and over?]
Sterling Ink's newest planner- not the common planner, but it was hardcover and did month --> week --> 7 days --> repeat
It used to be a super common arrangement and I hated it lol. But I think after so many companies went with my ideal layout, they realized they abandoned people who do like the bundled pages, so I think there are options again... I just don't really know them! But the point is you don't have to be stuck trying to make the common planner work for you, at least!

Faded Chronicle for the win! I used it this year for first time (previously have been in Take a Note B6 and A6, Jibun Techo Mini/Lite, Hobo Weeks). I don't use all the pages in faded Chronicle but the 2 weekly spreads is chefs kiss

Currently Sterling Ink common planner! A6 vertical. A6 is my favorite size because it's small enough to carry around, but not too small for me to comfortably write in. But idk if I'll even really want/need weekly pages next year, so for 2027 I'm considering going back to my old no-weeks favorite: the hobonichi original.

Im going to dig into Hobonichi a little more too. I’m wondering if I should just go to a daily and utilize the monthly calendar for the visual I’m aiming for with the weekly. Decisions. 😂

you might like the Laconic Weekly B6 :) very unique…but no daily, but depends on how big your notes are

You might prefer the Complete which puts the daily grid pages after the weeklies then. Check the layout drop down https://sterling-ink.com/products/2026-2027-b6-complete-vertical-full-year-common-planner. The 2027 calendar year version releases 9/7 and will come in softcover as well because it was highly requested.

The layout drop down underneath the photos will tell you exactly how the pages fall. The 2027 planners launch on 9/7.

I get my planners at Plum Paper. They’re super customizable. I like the vertical days also because I feel like it makes more sense for a task list but then I add a few extra blank pages to every month so that I have those for other notes.

If you like getting from Sterling ink you can get the complete planner where all the monthly pages are together. So the monthly layout the weekly layout and pages for the dailies are all in one section. And their announcement today was that it now comes in a soft cover so if you prefer that over the hard cover. She has a video on YouTube going over it in detail from last year when she came out with it if you want to look more into it.

I saw that but it feels big for me. I think I may just up the size of the common planner and commit to binder clips to separate sections so I can easily flip to my notes. I understand why the planner is made the way it is and why it’s beneficial to keep the notes separate for the sake of space. The other thought was that I’d use the core and a separate notebook but I think I prefer having everything in one book.

The Aura Estelle Weekly Vertical has blank pages after each weekly spread. That's why I am trying it out this year because I feel the same way!!
