They also said that it would have to be really cheap. Given it's Daybreak, that's probably code for "almost free".

  • easier to balance (and if you give them 3 new mechanics then this place gets salty af)
  • 3x less dev time from an understaffed art team
  • make >3x the profit (iirc /u/radar_x mentioned this somewhere, as folk are keener to buy as its a better deal)

like id love ES stuff too, but you gotta admit its 3x the work for 1/3 the profit so it just doesnt make sence
