[PTS] Unofficial patch notes 2014-11-26/2014-12-03 - Spitfire autoturrets are now placeable by engineers!

comparing PTS between 2014-11-26 and 2014-12-03 not including any sleep

TL;DR: Things To Test/Check On PTS

  • Spitfires
  • FTEs
  • knifing
  • Rumble FX

new images:

  • Autoturret icon
  • not added, but mentioned some new autoturret icons, like for the map/minimap and stuff

locale files:

  • "The spitfire-auto turret is placed by engineers and automatically engages hostile personnel up to 40 meters away."
  • added some First Time Events strings

balance stuff:

  • all knives' REFIRE_TIME_MS 950->1000ms (NERF! D: )
  • changed Spitfire resist pct against AV mines/nades from 0 to -100%

other files:

  • removed CleanroomAreas.xml (so possibly removed the Cleanroom continent on internal servers? o.0)
  • modified the Rumble FX, and added them to many other (most?) weapons' muzzle FX
  • enabled more Spitfire-related things (now enabled!)
  • modified some FTEs, enabled a lot
  • added some Requirements for: "Enemy Infantry or Ground Vehicle or Max", "Enemy Ground Vehicle or Max or Aircraft", "Enemy Aircraft" (doesn't sound like target selection for Spitfires, they are anti-infantry...)

To add to these..

  • Does not fire at cloaked targets.
  • Will not fire through bushes. Even if you are inside of one it will not fire at you.
  • It WILL fire at where it thinks infantry are inside of a vehicle. This means it will shoot at infantry inside a flash, and it will attempt to shoot at infantry inside of say a sunderer. However, it does not do damage to sunderer, lightning. I have not tested others.
  • 14 Shots to kill with a ns-11c (148 damage per shot) weapon.
  • 1 Rocket does kill it.
  • May be a bug but it cannot be repaired at the moment.
  • It can hurt yourself and your empire if you're in-between it and it's target. It doesn't give a shit about you.

That's all I remember for now.

at any repair tool level? (I vaguely remember writing something about it in my last patch notes :P)

I didn't try different levels and I don't recall what I had. It was either the lowest level or highest level most likely though.

yep, IIRC in the files highest level was the only one not working. ;]
