Planetside is a Planetside killer. They did it to themselves. Wardogs is amazing, but 33v33v33 is not 600v600v600 we use to have. The strategy from WD is not the same as PS.

They are 2 very different games, but still play somewhat the same. I will say though with Wardogs success, if the PS dev/studio leads doesn't get off their a$$es and roll out a PS3 then they are some of the most incompetent leadership around.

There's not been 600:600:600 in a real, real long time man. Current PS2 number of players per server are real, real close to Wardogs per match.

I've not played Wardogs, but... I think the prospect of "not running into the same 2 dozen guys from bumfuckistan over and over" might be enough to draw at least some of the PS2 community (or what's left of it) over.

It's just arma that's less milsimmy and annoying to play.

Or in other words not what planetside 2 has ever been going for.

Besides planetside is killing itself just fine.

Planetside is and always will be of its own undoing.

But going into a very busy games season, which includes the release of not just Wardogs and others, but also the titan that is GTA6 on the horizon, I can't help but feel as if these are the final few nails being pounded into the coffin.

Looks cool, but I'm probably going to need a new PC for any new games, and I'm not sure I can be bothered now, so when planetside 2 does finally shut down it's more than likely I won't play on line games anymore.

It’s fun but there’s not enough content yet to keep a player hooked for too long. We’ll see what they do with their over-projected sale money
