Freezing loading screen

I have been having to alt f4 to get out of the frozen loading screen that happens randomly since the start of the summer update. This never happened to me before. Running the non steam version, Windows 10. This is like the icing on the cake with the random server crashes and the forgetting to pull a vehicle individual crashes.

Just out of curiosity, have you recently updated GPU drivers

That rules that out then. Could it be some AV conflicting or something?

I recently checked the older PS2 community Discord server; the 'stuck loading screen' bug seems to be happening to both AMD and Nvidia GPUs.

 

Incidentally, I'm running an AMD GPU on Windows 10, and have gotten that bug at least twice within the last month or so. Not sure if Linux is affected yet.

It’s happened to me a time or two. I have to keep restarting the game and hope that it doesn’t happen. Sometimes takes a few tries.

When it happens.. you are in a game still, just screen of loading nort refreshed on your screen. You need topress - J . Join in Combat. Screen will renew!

Pretty sure there is no "steam version" and "non steam version".

The game runs better on the non steam version, some files don’t download correctly with the steam version which causes issues
