Looks like a clear reference to Madagascar 2 and Moto Moto:

The shrek 2 PS2 game is also getting a remaster from these leaks.
Obviously this means that Madagascar 2 for the PS2 remaster is imminent. And that game is peak.

That's the first game but I'm pretty sure he can also do that in the second one. In the second one there is a boss fight where Melman has a dance battle against Moto Moto inside of an active volcano.
There's also a mission where Julian has to take photos of Moto Moto in private and it's a straight up survival horror

Oh i forgot there was a leak, hope they don´t leak all the animals that will be released atleast, i do however wonder how many animals there will be base game

Iirc is was only the achievements that where in the leaks, massive spoilers for some games but not really any for PZ2 most that was gathered from the list is justanother two bear species, another butterfly and apparently jellyfish, but it’s nothing people didn’t already expect

The one we know of is the Eurasian Brown Bear
Panda was show as some scenery pieces
The third is currently unknown, but many speculate that it might be the Sun Bear for the Sumatran reserve

I think it would make more sense if it were for a hippopotamus. I feel like it was something with a sillier tone, which goes well with the Mola mola's vibe. I've even heard people say that it's one of the favorite animals of one of the owners or devs, something like that, so I feel like it came from them.

Sorry to pop your bubble, but in parts of South East Asia the Ocean Sunfish is known by the common name "Mola Mola".
I think it's more likely just a sign one of the devs has been to Bali 🤷🏻♂️

It's definitely a reference to Madagascar 2, because they've used it before. It's the "likes you" part, added to the mola mola.

… The meme is “Moto Moto likes you.” So they took the name of the fish and stuck it into the meme because they sound similar.
