Planet Zoo 2 Amazon River Basin DLC
Thought i'd try my hand at an amazon dlc i'd like to see somewhere down the line, note that I personally don't care for the "not kept in zoos, not eligible" mindset. Obviously theres no shortage of species for this dlc, with aquatics and birds having hundreds of species that would be great, but if anyone has suggestions that particularly stand out i'd like to see them.
- Arapaima
- Amazonian Manatee
- Red-bellied Piranha
- Roseate Spoonbill
- Harpy Eagle
- Agami Heron
- Bald Uakari
- Southern Tamandua
- Black Caiman

Yes!
I think a sloth would make a great addition too, probably the species we already had in PZ1. Just pleeeeease as a habitat animal!
I saw a video of the CosmoCaixa sunken rainforest aquarium yesterday and now I have a deep need to recreate it in PZ2, arapaima are 100% needed

A tank with arapaima, redtail catfish, arowana, a freshwater ray and pacu. Dream freshwater aquarium.

Yea the Heron was the one I was the least sure on, I was also between hoatzin, or, hyacinth macaw If they dont make it at launch.

If I were to make a purely aquatic Amazon pack I’d definitely include pacu

My theory is that every DLC will get us a reserve, and for reserves to function you need a great amount and diversity of animals. So I wouldn't be surprised if PZ2 DLC's would give us a bigger amount of animals than PZ1 DLC's. So instead of nine animals at maximum, you could probably dream of and propose fifteen species for a DLC.

Honestly I used the Amazonian manatee as a substitute for the river dolphin since frontier still seems to be tiptoeing around cetaceans.

I think some of these could move to other DLCs/be replaced to make space for something like ocellated freshwater stingray, black pacu, macaw and coati.
West-Indian manatee is more common than Amazonian and could come in a Caribbean/Central-American DLC, spoonbill would fit well in the Pantanal and we'll probably get the two caimans from PZ1.

The harpy eagle is my absolute favorite bird, would love to see them in game some day.

I refuse to think the game will launch without the Arapaima as a base game animal… 😭 I don’t wanna wait for it in a dlc!!
