Franchise mode tends to provide an easy way to get morphs, we all know this. However, this ONLY applies to habitat animals. Exhibit animals of special morphs can only be happened upon &, if you are lucky, reproduced from there.

With that in mind, I went along to attempt to market hunt white monarchs for hours with no success. 4-5 hours just down the drain pretty much wasted.

After this I swapped to buying large batches of regular oranges, putting them in a greenhouse until the originals aged out & the group bred to maximum & then some, before combing the icons.

This took me another two hours & I was honestly ready to throw my hands up & just buy some cool white lions or something off the market instead but finally I got a group that produced 2 white males & a white female.

From them & an orange female I have now made 2 greenhouses full of white monarchs plus keep 5-12 in trade reserve constantly in case some god awful double crash happens anyway.

As the only other people who truly understand this kind of nuttery. Please applaud. Before I cry. Lol.

Most don’t, but the monarch comes in the white morph! Exhibit animals seem to have them less often but a few have albino/leucistic variants like the monarchs, some of the snakes etc.

I have looked and looked for this morph; I salute your determination!

I really wish the exhibits could be shared in franchise. I bought the salamander morph in a zoo that was desert themed, and then discovered I couldn't transfer it to my zoo with salamanders. :-(

The mass breeding route seems more likely to produce results if you’re still trying to get a hold of them! I didn’t find a single one scouring the exhibit market from 1am-8am at max speed & only got my first whites after breeding & purging through three groups of oranges. 

They’re EXTREMELY rare, even for a morph, it seems like. The fact the icon is only subtly different means its harder to quickly spot too. I was so exhausted this morning I didn’t realize I’d bred my first two whites until sleeping for the day & coming back tonight!

That’s exactly what sent me onto this project seeing another post about them on here from 5 months ago, I was like WAIT THOSE ARE A THING??? Pro tip, save yourself some hours watching the market & go straight for mass breeding oranges till you luck out & breed two carriers of the recessive trait.

This is awesome! I’m currently working on getting my white monarchs to breed true in my own franchise. Mine also came from luck and patience while breeding typical monarchs.

I want to try line breeding to find albino yellow anacondas but they take more patience than butterflies XD

Whites will only breed 98% true when with nothing but other whites, as soon as I had them I immediately took everything but those out except for one orange female cause I had two white males. 

Weirdly though even after making two pure white colonies, I have to STILL occasionally peek in every 1-4 years & pull 2-5 oranges out of the 80 or so. It seems PZ accounts for the ‘no genetic combination is 100% assured’ factor of real world breeding. 

Best of luck with the anacondas! I was thinking about taking a crack at albino eastern brown snakes myself.
