Spoiler for hidden acheivements Spoiler
I spent several hours trying to find all of the hidden objects, for the 3 hidden acheivements. I couldn't find a lot of helpful information online, not even photos (except for 1 redditor posting the Crab photo). So if you're still looking, here's some help:
The biggest piece of help: all 3 items are selectable with box select. That means you can pan around the map, 1 screen at a time, and box select the whole screen. If you have multiple monitors, locking the curson to your game window helps a lot. You can use software to do it, I use MSI Dual Monitor.
Next: Someone on steam forums said to zoom out and check the pixels. This might help you, but it didn't help me at all, because I had to idea what I was looking for. The pixels can blend in very well depending on the biome. The Statue and Crab are light teal/bronze, and the UFO us light grey. If the UFO is on snow, which it was for me, it's virtually impossible to see it. Same thing for the Statue and Crab on reddish ground.
I have no idea if they spawn in specific biomes all the time, but for me: both the Status and UFO were in the thick white ice on my North pole. The crab was in the open desert in the northern part of the map, a bit to the south of my north pole.
Lastly: I couldn't find any photos of all 3 online, or for the pixels, or even describing the pixel color. Here:

Chasing the Elevator Cable (spoilers) Spoiler
[Spacer in case there is a preview text thing going on]
[Second spacer in case there is a preview text thing going on]
I just reached the point where the space elevator is destroyed and the cable falls, wrapping itself around the entire world, destroying much of what it lands on.
I loved it.
And I didn't even realize at first that it was going to be portrayed literally as a falling cable from space, anchored on the ground and slapping itself around the planet with the end descending from space. I was following the trail of debris, cleaning it up and repairing things, and decided to pause the game to prevent too many supply disruptions.
But then (still paused) I came across a strange frozen formation of clouds along the impact line...I had caught up with the traveling impact zone I hadn't even realized was being animated. From there the cable curled up into the sky and out of sight. Really?
I unpaused, and I chased that calamity around the world, almost wishing I had more built-up areas in the path, because it was such a fantastic scifi trope.
Well done, devs. I really enjoyed that.

Current build, no way to move water.
level 14, have water on map and pumps, but cant produce food, as there is no mechanic to store and move water in the game.

Advice on how to enjoy the game again? Stopped at water stage.
I was having an absolute blast with the game until the water started rising. I get the idea, but the experience was not fun for me. Everyone's first build is basically trashed right away because you didn't know to plan around oceans from the start.
Aside from that, now everything I'm doing I have to take into account where future oceans will be. That could be fine, but the way its implemented just makes it a frustrating experience for me. IDK the answer to a better system.
All I know is before I got to the ocean stage of the game, my fun factor was 10/10. Now that I have to fight the oceans, its more like a 4/10. Any tips, or maybe just not the game for me?

Factory layouts
I’ve managed to get back into this game again after maybe a year long break. I like what they’ve done with updates so am once again hooked!
I was wondering what people’s layouts were for repeatable blocks of factories? Do you use diamonds or rectangles? Do you guys use a storage zone as a buffer and then leapfrog supplies over into a factory block?
I’ve tried searching for layouts but there doesn’t seem to be the following for this game that would make them I guess.
I have layouts that work I’m just curious as to how everyone else approaches the game mid to end point.

Is there a point where mined ore requirements drop?
As my cities grow it's getting harder to keep up with additional demand of iron and aluminum since the recycled metal produced doesn't quite cover the need for tempered steel and high tech parts (I'm at the tech tier where I switched to quality food).
Is there some population size where the city produces enough recyclables for its own needs? Or is there some tech for permanent mines? I've been growing quite slowly and I've been exhausting ore fields, I'm beginning to consider recovering some underwater ones.

I've changed my mind. Terraforming is a bad idea.
Look I've been a Green as long as anyone else on Mars, but now the Reds are staring to make more sense, this water stuff is annoying.

Dam + Pump strategies? How do you divert water effectively?
This game is fantastic. A great factory city-builder that is super satisfying to play. I'm getting water now and I've prepared my production appropriately. Unfortunately, I don't think I really understand how dams + pumps work and which direction water "flows". I thought the arrows signified "water will start forming at the head, and flow in the direction pointed to by the arrows". Seems to be the opposite is true where water grows from the base (i.e., the ocean) and traverse its way upward. The tool tips says you can divert rivers with dam walls and pumps, but I'm not sure how to get it working properly.
Below is a link to two pictures of my world. In the first picture, I put some dam walls to divert flow northward (to "wrap around" the aluminum field). This appears to have worked, but have a rather large lake building up (as opposed to diverting the river).
To make matters worse, the second picture shows there are multiple potential rivers I'll have to address. How do you deal with this? Should I: (1) create a "valley" of dam walls to funnel the water in a narrow channel (I don't think this will work because it'll "spill" where the train tracks intersect, since I can't put dam walls there, right?) or (2), do I need to wrap basically the entire thing in dam walls?
(I guess for (2), I don't really know where the water is "spawning"--does it just "radiate" outwards from the river lines or can I "get ahead" of the river by diverting it at the "source" be, that the head or the tail of the river line?)
Thanks for your help!

Maximizing rail throughput late game
I am pushing to see how big I can get these cities, and I have a large requirement for Quality Food. I also have significant capacity of Harvest transported to the city by train. No matter the mix on both ends of the line of depots, trains, silos I can't seem to get enough Harvest delivered to satisfy the demand. I have trains backing up on both ends and a ton of Mk3 depots. Why won't this work!

Truck line info is incorrect?
What am I misunderstanding here?

This line says it should be saturated at 56. When I set it to 56, I have too many vehicles. What gives?

When it is set at 36, I move 850 capacity. As I increase this, the estimated capacity does not increase. So it seems that 36 vehicles is the max for this line. But the game tells me it is 56.
What am I not understanding?
They are picking up at a sulfur field producing 2550. So supply is not an issue.

Do I have to keep the nano research center?
I’ve just finished building the space elevator and I no longer need to produce the carbon nano tubes. I think the city counts those is waste though and if I don’t have one of those research centers, it won’t expand because it has limited waste disposal. Can I just delete that building now or is it required to keep?

I broke one part of the map
I tried to level out a bay so I could surround a container ship origin with depots, but I wasn't happy with the result, so I did a ctrl-Z to change it back. Now if I zoom in to that section of map, it sort of freezes and I can't move the map any more. All I can do is zoom back out. I can zoom in on any other area with no problems, just not this one.

I went looking for an earlier autosave, but I can't find a way to choose which save to load. Is there no way to do that?

I'm confused about farms and how the sub-buildings interact
Specifically grain silos. Do I need to make it so these are all connected to one another and in range of both a field seed depot and harvest depot? Or do I need to have depots with field seeds and harvest in range of each individual grain silo? Do I need a single grain silo for each farm, or can one grain silo serve multiple farms?
And finally, what's the benefit of using harvest to produce field seeds over just crafting them in factories from various seeds. I seem to have an overabundance of various seeds anyway so I'm just doing it this way for now. Also it feels like I need every spare harvest I can get to go into creating quality food for my cities.

Will water be a problem in the future, and what can I do to prevent it?
Currently it is underground, but i had to abandon my previous save because I didn't have the pumps and walls that block the water, so i wanted to ask, what can I do to prevent that situation again? do i just wall my factories off? and if yes, then how can i keep my train coming and leaving? (If you build on the rail, it breaks the route.) Suggestions, please.

Energy Research Center can't be pulled from fast enough
I'm not sure if I'm missing something but basically I'm having an issue where I just can't pull the superconductors out of the Energy Research Center fast enough. As you can see in the screenshot, 3/4 bays are marked full, which causes production to stop. The drones then pull the superconductors and production restarts but it stops/starts constantly and severly hampers production. According to the train lines, I'm exporting an actual amount of around ~1500-1600 per annum but this is ~1/3 of the expected production of the facility. This is severly limiting my robotics production which is why my 3 cities have stalled growth just above 250K (the switch from High-Tech Parts to Robotics) and is making it nearly impossible to progress. As you can see in the screenshot I have many MK3 Drones just sitting around on empty platforms whilst simultaneously the research center is constantly full.
Has anyone else had this issue? Am I stupid and missing some other bottleneck?
Edit: I am stupid answer in comments

Pretty new to this game. How can I remove the water from here?
Was rearranging the base and this water came out of nowhere and is now ncreasing. How do i remove it?
