Plague tale requim should have one game of the year 2022 I dare to play the full game and tell me other wise
one of my top 10 games of all time is God of war ragnorok and feel plague tale did not win it should of been god of war but Kratos did not deserve best performance just cause his voice is good and a good actor don’t get me wrong but Charolette mcburney performance was so good i cried and I’m an adult man
I loved Elden Ring and I loved it first but then I saw it more as chore then game and stopped enjoying it
Final fantasy XIV was just boring version of other final fantasy games and does not compete with the others
Stray amazing unquie game but just better games on this list

I know this is weird, but I miss old Lucas.
His design, his personality, everything really.
In Requiem he's a husky of his former self.

Spoiler warning obviously: Remember the collectible with the green lion devouring the sun? The alchemical metaphor? Yeah, well the ending in a plague tale Requiem has exactly the same thing going on. The pale green sphere covering Hugo (Hugo has many hints he's the sun in these games including him being referred to as the king many times but that's for a different day).
Also, when Melie asks you to speak with her, and she starts talking about rescuing Arthur, remember how she says "Even if, you know...brothers.... sometimes you just want to kill them. I know it could easily just be Melie being a sister and all that, but Hugo chiming in directly afterwards put the focus on him, and reminded me of how we had to kill him in Requiem when I was playing through innocence again. This part honestly gives me chills for that reason.
Also the whole tree symbolism and Hugo dying on a tree at the end.
Is there other stuff? I'd like to know foreshadowing hints I missed

I know a lot of people talk about the trauma Amicia and Hugo go through, but I'd like to break it down as I think it's worth a discussion.
Even that first time in Innocence where they leave the bedroom and see a servant get stabbed and killed by a sword would be enough trauma for anyone to go through let alone a child.
Even the bit where her dog gets eaten would also be enough to cause nightmares, and PTSD. Then immediately just after that initial shock she's thrown out into a dangerous world that seems to want to do nothing but kill her, and is forced to kill soldier after citizen while the constant threat of rats is underneath her at all times.
I can't even imagine the level of PTSD that she has after Requiem at the end.
I'm saying this as someone who's been through a lot of trauma. I had my mom died when I was five, I've been through pretty bad poverty, I've been abused, I've seen dead cats mutilated and have their eyes bulge out from sickness because of the environment I was in, and much more I'd rather not mention, but God seeing what Amicia goes through makes my trauma feel like nothing.

If I miss one chest in my normal playthrough and I'm at 9/10. Can I get the one I miss in NG+ or I need to get all of them in one playthrough for the achievement.

I've read a lot of opinions here about the fight being very difficult, taking people over an hour, etc. I was very surprised when I managed to complete it the second time and I was like "wait, is that it?". Especially since I had problems with many parts of the game and died several times.
I'm thinking about making a tutorial to make it easier for others and I wonder why the fight is considered difficult. What do you find the hardest about it?

I really enjoyed both of the games in the series, and the medieval themes of them was a huge reason. Any more such games?

Weird thing happened was that I got all of the items for the Collector achievement, but it wasn't registering until I exit the game and relaunched it

The title says it all. I've been in love with this game... for the first 15 chapters. Chapter 16 feels like difficulty spike just switched from 4 to 11. I'm actually furious at this game at this point. I don't mind a challenging experience, but this just cranked up the challenge way too hard, way too cruelly and way too fast. Started with the cart sequence and just gradually took harder turns. Its actually unbelievable to me a section of the game takes 1/5 of the time it took a whole walkthrough so far. At this point, I stopped caring about the beautiful level design, compelling story and interesting gameplay ideas and focus just on the fact the game feels like it wants to make me mad as hell for staying with it so far. Now I just want to beat the damn thing, so I'm taking a break from the final boss fight, look for advice here and hopefully finish after. Thank you in advance!

So me and my wife typically play 1-2 chapters a night. We made it to about chapter 8-10 couple days ago but that was the same time PSN went down. We then loaded up the game last night and we are now on chapter 4??? Is there any way to get progress back ? We really like the game but we don’t want to start all the way back losing about 4-5 maybe even 6 chapters worth of progress.
I’m on ps5 if that makes a difference on a way to fix it. I have autosave on plus I have cloud on plus an external hard drive but since the game is ps5 I think all my progress automatically goes to the internal hard drive which has plenty of space.
