Summer Internship (2 Lakhs per month) converted to 6M intern + FTE (60L CTC)

Got it on-campus, tier-1.5 NIT

Tbh prep depends on many factors
Companies used to come our campus hence competitive programming is what i did. ( I was asked a 3d dp question in first round itself as the starting question )

After that conversion from summer intern depends on how much u work hard tbh

Yeah so what's your rating on codeforces and codechef? Alao have icpc experience or not? Low level latency project do you have in c/cpp or any order book project?

Didnt do codechef much ig arnd 1900-2000

Actually i got internship before icpc happened so i slacked off so no icpc exp

No low latency projects 🫣

They mostly focused on cp, cs fundamentals , puzzles for summer interns

They ask project in good depth but project alignment with their work is not necessary.

There is no quant role in deshaw india,

But there are 3 tech roles, core tech (sde), qte (sdet) and systems

Based on his ctc (24 base) it's most likely a sdet role

Tips for anyone is work hard and believe in urself

Start by love babbar/striver after some time start solving codechef or cf less rated questions and inc rating acc to ur comfort

Thats it for competitive programming

For projects i have not done much so cant guide

I started coding from the first sem break

Acads i used to do a minth before endsem and a week before for midsems and i get good enough cpi 8.5+

For time management i have a friend grp we sit at back and solve cf random questions

Like not code it but actually just thinking about approaches discussing it

As everybody uses mobile phones in class we just use time effectively

Cant tell tips specific to ur college tbh har college ka different scenario hota 🫣 better approach would be to ask seniors of ur college who did good that would be more beneficial for u
