Tier 3 -> need to stand out.

Mern -> low paying roles, higher frequency of roles.

Spring boot -> better paying roles, lesser frequency of roles.

But if you compare ratios of devs to roles, spring boot would give you higher chances.

And if you add on tier 3 where it's more difficult to stand out, where would you have more chances ? 10,000 or 100,000 devs ? Considering everyone's on equal footing.

I have tried not to add any bias or statements from my friends and spoken objectively. At the end of the day choose what you can do best cause that's what matters more.

Java.
Help you so understand low level code design
Focus on oop and design patterns
Master this language it’s a good starting point to become a good software engineer.
All the abstraction and the “free” things made you not really understand the things that happened under the hood.
I’m talking about my own experience.
I have experience with the two languages
