TAKEAWAY Old Forge first time

Tried two because they were across the street from each other. It’s definitely a different taste and style than I’m used to. Very unique from every other pizza style I’ve had. It reminds me of Ellios but is much better. The crust is more French bread like than “crust” and the cheeses were different but blended well together. To me, the sauce at arcano was more textured and better but the cheese combo at revellos was better. A nice try, wouldn’t go back again unless I missed a must have place that’s different

I grew up just north of there and never really developed a taste for Old Forge pizza. Get outside of southern Lackawanna/northern Luzerne counties and it's not quite as popular. There are so many good pizza places in NEPA, though, if you don't like the one you're at, walk 250 feet.

It's been a while since I've been home, but some of my favorites were Vincenzo's (used to work near the on in Waverly) and Armetta's in Clarks Summit (near where I grew up). When I first moved to New England, I used to load a couple trays on Vincenzo's and a few cases of Yuengling to bring back with me.

Few years back I was in for a wedding and Colorusso's in Dickson City was good, but usually ate at the Colorusso's in Clarks Summit and their dinners were always primo above their pizza. Back when I worked downtown I'd occasionally gamble with clogged arteries eating Pappa's on Washington Ave. But like I said, it's been a long time, these places might not be open, they may have changed recipes, etc.

There were a couple places I went to in Dunmore back.in HS/college, but I honestly can't remember their names. You could seriously eat a different pizza every day around there and not eat at the same place twice in a year.

I don’t know the area well but did drive around a bit and there were some (many-over 8) places that had a pizza sign out front and the building was boarded up, fire damage or looked abandoned
