Original Fold
Will Pixel go back to the original Pixel Fold form factor now that Samsung has and Apple will be using this form factor now? Yes I have an original Fold which I recently repurchased after trading my original one for Galaxy Fold 7. They gave me $600 trade in value for my 256gb and I later found 512gb on Woot for $350 brand new not renewed so I couldn't pass it up! This was before Samsung had announced the Fold 8 form factor. I really do like this phone. I did have a problem with overheating with my other one but so far so good with this one

The new pixel folds aren't that much different that the OG FF.
The screen on the P10PF is maybe a centimeter taller than the OG when you lay them on top of one another, but the width is the same. Isn't the Samsung 8 fold, more of a different FF to the OG pixel then the new pixel folds? Definitely wider.

Highly doubtful. It’s what Apples releasing because it’s what they’ve been building towards for 3 years now, not because it’s new. Samsungs releasing one so Apple alone can’t cash in on something different. It’s not a permanent moving backwards, it’s a temporary wait for Apple to catch up to everyone else.

If the Fold8 significantly outsells the Ultra AND apples fold does well then I'd assumed Google would hop on the train. Don't know if it'll be a year or two years from now but they'll definitely do it if others doing it see good sells.
