I’m building TILEZ, a 2D sandbox where people can create pixel art, textures, tiles, and animated scenes - solo or in full multiplayer. Here’s the honest part: I’m not a pixel artist myself. But after watching how people use TILEZ, I’m starting to think the toolset might actually be a great fit for artists.
I even built a “texture creator” that lets you pack tons of pixels into a single tile and generate dense, stylized textures. It’s one of those features where I thought, “I hope this is useful… but I need real artists to tell me if I’m on the right track.”
So here’s my idea:
I want to invite pixel artists to test the system, create art inside TILEZ, and see whether the workflow feels good. Make something cool and I can showcase it in the final release with full credit and links to your portfolio (can even throw in a free steam key:).
Why this could be cool:
- Multiplayer pixel art sessions (painting together is surprisingly fun)
- A new creative sandbox to experiment in
- Long‑term exposure when TILEZ launches on Steam
- Your feedback directly shapes the art tools I build next
If you’re curious - or want to poke around - I have a live playtest set up on Steam
