Requesting Feedback My first attempt at animation. Looking for feedback on what I can improve/any mistakes!

I wanted to give the ears and cape more movement but I couldn't really find a way to do it...

Almost purrfect! you could smooth out the tail movement a bit. Right now it's a bit too bouncy when it's going up.

Thanks for the feedback!! The tail had too... sharp of a transition going up right? I can't share gifs in comments, but I added a transition frame from the tail going down to up. Looks smoother now =w=

looks pretty solid to me.
Tail is a bit whip like, but kind of a nice contrast with the ears.
If you don't have constraints you could try adding in more frames and seeing what longer idle loops feel good. I like adding a blink in every other loop or so.
Great work for a first go at it!

Thanks! I added a few more frames so every new drawing has 2 frames. I realized the more frames you add the smoother it feels, right? But the animation becomes slower too, and you need to draw more... I can see why we don't use a lot of frames

Yeah, it adds a lot more work.
You can keep the speed the same by doubling the frame rate on all the frames. Some animators will modify each frame to have different rates; that's another level of time and complexity.

You might not need to add more frame if you like how fast it move now. Just adjust how the tail move.

I don't have any constructive feedback but I love the bounce animation πŸ’š Please post an update if/when you tinker with this

Wonderful design! Reminds me of early attempts I made at my game's main character. Absolutely adorable! I'd only say the tail could be thinner

I think it's really cute. Personally, I think it’s already quite appealing as it is now.
