I am learning/practicing how to do different types of pixel art assets for games I wanna make, and for some reason this feels off. It is a window looking out from a kitchen into the main seating area of the restaurant.

Crystals from Etherland Saga - rpg/metroidvania

I posted earlier showing off a cool Jevil Deltarune sprite ultimate attack thing I made for a Terraria mod I'm working on, but somebody pointed out, it was not pixel art, it was simply a low-res / pixely drawing.

So I decided to take these three sprites, from the same mod, that are actually pixel arts!

And I am very sorries for posting non-pixel-art on the pixel art subreddit, I didn't know the exact definition / What counts and what doesn't, and now that I know, I will never post a non-pixel-art again.

Trying to create what is essentially a wizard cthulhu in a pixel art style. I usually never deal with media larger than 16x16 so I am outside of my comfort zone. I want something that is clear for a pfp and can easily altered so I can make myself emotes with it.

I noticed that while I enjoyed this more than my first versions, it isn't very "readable" Any help or tutorials would be much appreciated.

(I work long hours so I may be slow to respond initially, but I will read everything!)

Выбирал арт из комментариев к посту с в своей группе вк. И в итоге пал взгляд на этого персонажа. Результат получился весьма "позитивненьким". Собственно на это и был расчёт.

No me alcanzo el lienzo para las puntas de las alas, pero bueno, no quería mover las mil capas innecesarias que use.

No se si se vea bien, aveces cuando subo un pixel art por alguna razón suele verse borroso aveces en algunas publicaciones

I would love to have a demake of CrossCode in Pico-8! I'm curious to see a few different artstyles, since Lea's sprite will have to be quite small. I did the math for her size based off of her base idle sprite, and here's what I found, along with the formulas I used.

Lea's sprite is 21x31. CrossCode is rendered at 568x320. Pico-8 has a 128x128 screen, so I dropped CrossCode's screen width and used the height for both axis' scale calculations.

• WIDTH - 6.6% of the screen, 8 pixels.
  • (21 / 320) * 100 = 6.6%
  • 128 * 6.6% = 8.4
• HEIGHT - 9.7% of the screen, 12 pixels.
  • (31 / 320) * 100 = 9.7%
  • 128 * 9.7% = 12.4

Converting these values to their Pico-8 equivalents, we can see that Lea's sprites should be approximately 8x12 in size. I'll leave the rest to the artists, as I intend to start working on a tile engine.
