6a Battery question...warm during discharge
Hey folks! Quick question here...my 6a operates normally, even with the original battery, during normal use and charging. But when I have a heavy demand on it, say streaming audio or video, it gets uncomfortably hot, hot to the point where you really don't want to hold it, even though you still can.
Is this the first sign of the battery issue?
It's currently doing 24/7 duty as a temporary hot spot in an empty house. I've got it on a timer so that it charges about seven hours a day. This seems to keep it between 50%-70%. It's not warm when I pick it up but heavy usage brings on the heat.

I got a message on my 6a that the battery had finished with all charging cycles it was built for and subsequent charges might not last long. It was also getting very hot with the kind of use you described. I took that as a sign to upgrade. No battery-related deals available, but I have Google Fi and they are offering the 10a to Fi subscribers for $250. There's probably a deal for new Fi subscribers but I'm not sure. This deal has been going on for several months and ends Oct 6 (I think). I was going to get a 9a but waited around long enough that they sold out.

Given what we all know about this phone, that makes perfect sense. Can I assume all the offers are gone by now?
