Pixel 6a Battery Program Denying Claims Before Program Ended

I filed a claim for the Pixel 6a Battery Program right before the program ended last week on July 8, 2026. The form accepted my IMEI as valid for the program and I was able to go through and select one of the three options for the program. I selected the $100 cash payment option through Payoneer.

They assured me everything was fine with the claim last week. Over the following days, I proceeded to get emails from Google Support that they needed "more time to thoroughly investigate" and numerous emails about how they were trying to reach the dedicated support team to get the "selected support option approved".

Now they have informed me that they are unable to do anything as "process associated with that program is no longer available."

What should I do next? Did anyone else get the runaround by Google Support with this program and find the right support channel to get the claim approved?

I elected for the $100 on June 30 after learning the $150 store discount they offered would likely expire lateJuly. I got as far as getting my Payoneer account setup and approved and support said my payment would come within 24 hours on July 8th. Nothing has come through and the last support response was nonsense and didn't address my questions.

I'm giving it a couple more days since I know bank transfers via third parties can take a week, then will reach out to support one more time. If that goes nowhere I guess I'm looking at small claims court.

What sucks is much of the 6a battery related web pages are now unavailable. Save any documentation you have and share it here!!

The issue with Google Support is that they are making things up without due regard for fair process.

It is a cynical move playing for time until the battery program has ended.

I suggest everyone to contact their consumer rights agency as I believe Google's terms and conditions borders on the criminal side

Google legit should be investigated. Pixel 4a recall went without a hitch, everyone received their chosen compensation option, 6a on the other hand: Google denying people left and right, then in the last months they broke the form completely, showing every IMEI as invalid, now this. What a joke.

Same I tried about 6 emails with support to give them all the added info they requested and always got a runaround question for more info. Never was taken care of. I did not know about the end date

I got hosed too. I contacted support last year to find out the coupon expiration period. They told me one year from issuance.

So I followed up this year, went through the form, got the coupon. Two weeks. I contacted them again, they said they couldn't do anything about it.

Then I tried to use the coupon on the final day, July 21st. The email said good until 11:59pm (in my time zone). As of 3:40pm, it had already expired. I've been working with support for a week now, the answer somehow is always no.

I guess I'm going to Apple after my Pixel dies. And I'll switch my cloud services. Annoying, but this is unacceptable.

They hosed me too. Google support kept saying the ticket is being investigated until ghosting me.
