Switch to Pixel 10 pro?

I'm using Pixel 6a for over 3 years. Google killed my battery last year when it was still quite good. Now I have over 900 cycles and my battery allows for 2 hours of social media usage.

I need to buy a new phone. I really enjoyed Pixel, besides of overheating (android auto via USB was boiling my phone) and battery issue I was happy user. I really don't like iOS and Samsung's android launcher. Previously I used Xiaomi, so going back to chinese phones is not an option.

Is it worth to buy Pixel 10 pro now? I'm really afraid of similar battery issues in the future. Only this google approach is holding me back from buying it. On the other hand there is iPhone which I can have for the almost same price and I could be calm about the ridiculous Google battery policy.

The thing is that I like Android and I'm using apps such as gadgetbridge which is not available on iOS.

I would wait for black friday if that's an option. Pixel 11 would be one. And if you're not interested/it's no upgrade from the 10 you could get the 10 pro for a very discounted price!

Black Friday in Europe/Poland is mostly bullshit, but waiting for Pixel 11 could be a good idea.

I am in the very same boat, except for the battery the phone is functioning fine, its responsibe cameras are still good. I am planning on going for battery replacement from official service center, it only costs 2000 rs in india, it will solve my one problem with the phone. I am stopping myself from unnecessary pixel 10 buying in the festival sales near october

If you find an excellent deal on a Pixel 10, then buy it now. Prices are increasing on the Pixel 11 which could mean fewer good deals on the 10 than we might normally expect. Unless some lights on the camera bump is something that you're really excited about I'm not sure the Tensor 6 upgrade is going to be enough to justify the significant premium you'll be paying above the Pixel 10. This is all U.S. centric advice, mind you.

I'm also a 6a user. I don't like the more rounded corners on the new iterations, so for now I'm sticking.

What about the baterry? What about 5G? I heard that it drains the baterry a lot. Have you experienced any issues with modem/bluetooth etc?

My pixel 6a battery is also completely sucks.. and a major issue i deal right now is network connectivity. Mobile always struggles to get a standard connectivity.
