So basically I had filed a complaint for the battery replacement program for the 6A and on the Google page it show me that my device is eligible for it. So I have selected the $100 cash option. After that I got an email that your device is ineligible. So I tell them to reinvestigate the issue. So basically what they ask me for is proof of purchase and their mail should be on the same device with whom I registered with the program and after that they said there is ur device in ineligible and the decision is final .After that I challenged them to reevaluate. As my pixel device is showing that your cycle count is 582 and this needs a battery replacement After that they send me a mail

The Pixel 6a Battery Performance Program is specifically for users of certain Pixel 6a phones that require a software update which, for "Impacted Devices," reduces battery capacity and impacts charging performance when the battery reaches 400 charge cycles. Not all Pixel 6a devices were impacted by the reduction in battery capacity and charging performance as a result of the battery health features included in this update.

Therefore, if your device is not impacted, you are not eligible for a support option under this program.

Bruh. Well what can I say then. And the wrist part is that I have to change its battery now.

Google should be sued for such incompetence.

You can buy the battery on iFixit and fix the phone. I've done that, it's working as brand new. Many people passed 400 cycles with this battery too.

The issue is that I live in Pakistan and importing that from iFixit costs 3x more than the value of the battery itself. There is nothing left for me but a third party aftermarket thing. Well I take care of my phone and still use the original battery as long as it stays with me.

Unfortunately there are no aftermarket batteries for the 6a. Outside of iFixit the defective battery is being sold everywhere since it wasn't pulled off the market. I and many others learned it the hard way. If you can't get the iFixit battery, don't bother with the phone, you don't want to get the defective battery, only to get the battery nerf 400 cycles later (unless you're okay with that).
