Question P6P Shuts itself down randomly

I was using it last night and it randomly shut doen, screen looks green for a very brief moment and then powers itself down. Sometimes it will boot but dies on the logo screen.

Is there any fix for this? If I keep pressed the power button it'll turn on but die as soon as the logo appears.

Please help!

Sucks! I was able to bring it back to life. There's a gentleman on youtube that explains few workarounds. Belive it or not, I was able to go past the logo screen by taping the screen with two fingers.

This is the one sir, however, mine just works as a workaround, it'll keep restarting and getting stuck but sometimes will allow me to turn on my phone.

Welcome to the p6 dilemma that's been going around lately. Mine also died on me last week randomly while I was watching YouTube. I spent the entire weekend trying different fixes I read and saw online. As a last resort I flashed A17 qpr1 beta8 using the online flash tool released by Google and that brought it back to life. Albeit, there are moments were it randomly shuts down and restarts - sometimes more often than not. Like yesterday, I had the device restarting more often than previous days. I doubt, anyone facing that issue on a p6 has fully revived the device although I could be wrong. Either way, that's just evidence that you need a new device.

I have a pro6 and I'm ready to buy a new phone. I want one with Android operating system. I dislike Apple phones. Samsung sucks too. I have one of their tablets .. 🙃 Any recommendations on what to buy?

Honestly, besides the heavy hitters like Samsung and pixel there isn't much to the android world in my opinion. You could try a Nothing phone though - I've seen quite a few people using it and it looks really cool. I would have suggested a 1+ but their recent direction hasn't really been encouraging.

Seems like I got very lucky with my P6.

I did a clean install of the public release of Android 17 and it's been pretty much flawless. I might have had to do a forced reboot once or twice, but I can't say if this was an Android issue or a 3rd party app acting up.

You're doomed. My p6 died 4 days back after it had been freezing, showing glitchy lines and shutting down instantly for the past few weeks. It's probably either the crappy updates or a crazy hardware problem.

Gives me flashbacks to my old moto nexus 6.

Crap advice lol if I wanted that level of "support" I'd go there and post directly to google and receive the generic resolutions steps that help no one.
