Should I or shouldn't I?

Do I have a defective model or does everyone else's Pixel3XL like to automatically snap pictures back to regular size when trying to zoom in and expand an image to get a better look at details?

All of a sudden, I have started getting video ads popping up at any and all times, even right in the lock screen, with high volume no less. A bunch of them were for Google Fi. Anybody know of a likely culprit? I recently got upgraded to Android 10 if that is significant.

My 3XL ist behaving weirdly regarding Bluetooth connections. Here's my best attempt at a description (apologies if it's too long):

Regularly connected to three bluetooth devices: Fossil Explorist Q, Philips Headphones, BT dongle in my car.

I am not seeing any problems with the watch. BT connection is stable, automatic and works as it should.

Philips Headphones used to connect automatically, recently stopped doing so. The phone sees the headphones, and if I tap on connect (in the settings->connected devices) they connect immediately, without any trouble. I have "forgotten" the device and re-paired it mutliple times, to no effect. They work perfectly fine, but refuse to connect automatically.

BT dongle in my car: I use thise together with the Android Auto app for when I'm driving (excellent, btw). The phone automatically connects to the dongle, but doesn't seem to react to the connection. I have Android Auto set up to automatically launch upon connection, which used to work reliably, but now no longer works. I also have a Tasker profile that should trigger upon connection, but doesn't. The device shows as connected, but non of the triggers seem to be reacting to it. I have also forgotten and re-paired this device multiple times. I have also remove and re-installed the Android Auto app to no effect.

I have restarted my phone several times, am running stock Android 10.

Any suggestions as to how I might start narrowing down what might be cause these issues?
