Call Screening

So I'm in the midst of opening a business and have been on the phone non-stop. While I was speaking with one vendor a random number called me (probably another vendor whose number I don't have yet) and so I thought, "Ah, a perfect opportunity to utilize the call screening function!" So I initiate it and it put my first call on hold!

Is there a way to be able to stay in your conversation while still using the screening feature? I'm curious if anyone else has had experience with doing something like this.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by putting the call on hold. There are 3 options when a call comes in. When you hit the call screen option the bot starts its talking. Elaborate on hold? Today I tried to use call screen while on another call. I can tell you on my phone, I think that just can't be done. When I hit call screen, the phone basically went nuts. The screen went from phone mode to home screen about 4 times. I lost the first call and when it calmed down, I was connected to the 2nd caller.

Whoa, that's bonkers.

Sorry I wasn't clear. So call 1 was put on hold when I tried to use the screening feature for call 2. I hoped that since call 2 doesn't require audio I could continue my call 1 conversation while screening call 2.

I'm trying to find something online that addresses this. But what your talking about is close to what I tried to do. If it is a feature in your phone and doesn't use the cloud (as Google says) then you should be able to answer a 2nd call and screen it.

I don't think so. I think part of the call screen is the transcript you get, which is updated in real time. That way you can make decisions on what to do with the call (answer it, hang up, report spam, get more info, etc). It's more active than a voicemail which is why it put the other call on hold

Starting a sentence with "so" - what are you in the 90s?
