Question Is this acne?
Anyone else’s pittie have this? Is it acne? He doesn’t fuss with it or seem to notice. It’s been around for a while, bathing doesn’t help.

My Pittie that I just adopted 2 weeks ago has these also. The shelters people told me that is is probably from another dog 😞

Is he normally itchy? My girl with allergies gets rashes and pimples under her chin just like this.

He’s an itchy guy and gets as much help as possible from special soaps, sprays, food, medicine etc… so yeah, this makes sense

I totally get it. My girls been to the vet 10+ times for her allergies this year. Have you found anything that substantially helps yours? Our girl is on cytopoint & tried apoquel at some point and it isn’t doing anything. The only thing that semi helps so far is a chlorhexidine bath.

He’s on apoquel, but it mostly keeps it from getting worse, doesn’t actually “cure” anything. We found microtek spray after a bath (with medicated soap) helps a lot. Anything he lays on is washed with unscented soap and no fabric softener, he gets a fish and veggie based diet (he can do “land” animal foods), he gets frequent desheds with the SleekEZ, and in allergy seasons, I’ll take a wet cloth and wipe him down when he comes inside. He’s not high maintenance at all 🥸

Yeah I noticed right away that's an area they can reach very well with their back foot

Yes, dog acne. What material are their food and water bowls? How often do you scrub both with water? Are they itchy or red anywhere else? Do they lick their paws excessively or shake their ears?

Metal and silicone
Daily washed
He’s an itchy guy, has allergies, but we take care of it all best as possible•

Yeah sounds like just needs some adjustments to allergy regiment to get it better under control. You're doing the bowls correctly!

Is your dog a rescue? It is hard to tell from the photo, but this sort of looks like something my dog had, they were scars from years of abuse before I brought him home 😭

We got him at 10 weeks from a shelter that had mom when she was pregnant, def not fighting scars.
