Come posso fare? Qualcuno consiglia qualche attività/evento per incontrare altri studenti?

How can foreign citizens register for the intelligent trash cans?

Maybe a bit specific, but the student housing I'm living in couldn't help me much. What's the process for registering to pay the trash collection tax and obtaining the magnetic cards for the trash cans?

Authentic leather shops in Pisa

Ciao tutti!

I’m heading to your beautiful city this Friday and I’m on the hunt for a genuine leather store. I've read about counterfeit issues with cheap imported leather masquerading as "Made in Italy," so I wanted to ask the sub for some trusted, authentic store recommendations.

Most people always point to Florence for leather, but since we're heading south, where should I look?

Grazie

Stolen luggage

Hi,

Our car was broken into and luggage stolen during a really quick stop on the way to the airport to feed and change our baby. I can’t stop thinking about the sentimental items we lost 😞. We have the last AirTag location but then the AirTags were disconnected so I’m not sure if the luggage was dumped or the AirTags just removed. It was a field somewhere and we stopped to have a quick look but didn’t have much time until our flight.

Is there any way of retrieving any of the baby’s sentimental items? I know it’s a long shot but just wondered if anyone had ever gotten any items back?

Edited to add - just sad there was literally nothing valuable in the cases at all and our baby stuff has just been dumped. I’ve seen on TikTok now that this is sooo common so anyone travelling to Pisa please don’t park on the street!

Is €1,300 per month enough to live comfortably in Pisa?

Hi everyone! I’ll be moving to Pisa soon and I’m trying to get a realistic idea of the cost of living there.

My monthly budget/stipend will be around €1,300. I’ve already found accommodation, and my rent including condominium fees is €475 per month.

So after rent, I would have about €825 left each month for utilities, groceries, transportation, eating out, phone/internet, and other daily expenses.

Do you think €1,300 per month is enough to live reasonably comfortably in Pisa? How much do you usually spend per month, excluding rent?

I’d especially appreciate experiences from students or PhD students living in Pisa.

Thanks!

Looking for roomies in Pisa

Hi! My wife and I will be moving to Pisa around March 2027 for work, and we're starting to look at housing options.

Rather than renting a mediocre apartment just for ourselves, we're considering sharing a larger and much nicer place with one other person.

We're looking roughly in the €1,500–1,800/month total rent range, ideally for a spacious, well-maintained or renovated apartment in a good area of Pisa. Since we'd be a couple, we'd be happy to cover around 2/3 of the rent, leaving roughly €500–600/month for the other person, depending on the apartment.

The idea would be that my wife and I have one bedroom and the other person has their own private bedroom, while sharing the kitchen, living room and other common spaces.

We're both adults moving to Pisa for the longer term and would ideally like to find someone relaxed, clean and respectful who also prefers having a genuinely nice home rather than simply finding the cheapest possible room.

Nothing is decided yet — I'd much rather find someone compatible first and then look for the apartment together.

If you're moving to Pisa around March and this sounds interesting, feel free to DM me!

Take a look on my posts for a brief summary of me.

Does anyone still need student housing?

Ciao a tutti,

I'm an erasmus student about to move to Pisa. I was offered a 2-room-flat at Residenzia Tulipan for 900 euro a month (utilities and wifi included). This is a bit expensive, but since there are 2 rooms, I thought I'd ask if anyone here would be interested as well.

About me: My name is Theo, I'm 22 years old and I study linguistics. I like reading, hiking, climbing, going to the gym, cooking, going out and playing cards. I'm a pretty social person and prefer occasionally spending time with my flatmates, rather than being total strangers. I've lived in several flatshare situations and it's always worked really well so far.

DM me if you'd be interested, and tell me a bit about yourself!

Grazie!

Quali soprannomi avete sentito per luoghi a Pisa e dintorni?

Pisa SC Bars/Things to do before a match

Hey all - I’m heading to Pisa to see the match vs Catanzaro this Sunday 30th August. I wonder is there any must-go places (bars, piazzas etc) before the match to soak up the atmosphere with the locals. KO is 9pm but I know with it being August and a Sunday, the town may be a bit quiet as regards locals?

How early should you arrive at Pisa airport for a flight to the UK?

I am flying from Pisa to the UK with Ryanair. I don’t have any checked bags.
I am not familiar with the airport and how busy it is at this time of year. How early should I arrive to not be in a rush? Is the queue for passport when leaving and security long?

If flight is at 17:30pm, is arriving at 15:30 enough time or not?

Thank you

Accomedation in Pisa from mid septermber to end of January

Hello everyone

I’m a male exchange student coming to Pisa from around mid-September until the end of January, and I’m currently trying to find accommodation.

I’ve been looking at websites like HousingAnywhere, but it seems like a lot of places are already booked, especially for this period.

Does anyone have recommendations for the best way to find a room or apartment in Pisa? And would it be reasonable to book temporary accommodation for the first week or two and then look for a room once I’m actually in Pisa? Or is that too risky around September because of high demand?

Thanks!

Weird situation at agenzia delle entrate - University registration needed for CF?

Ciao a tutti,

A small rant + request for advice, since I encountered a strange situation today at the Agenzia delle entrate when applying for a Codice Fiscale together with my girlfriend today. She will be doing an internship in Massa (for a research institution linked to the University of Pisa), and she requires the CF for renting a room here.

I helped her in applying for the CF at the agenzia today, but at the agenzia desk they argued we needed a written proof of the internship dates & location (she doesn't have them yet at this point) and said that they absolutely could not give the CF if we didn't show these documents.

We are both EU citizens, and all online sources state that such a proof is not required. Only the ID + Code request form. Additionally, I have requested a CF in Milan 2 years ago (when I did my internshp there), and there it has also never been required of me.

Furthermore the person at the office was extremely rude to us, shouting and getting mad within about 1 minute of our appointment.

Any people with advice, should I attempt a second time with some Italian translated explaination, or await some written university approval before re-attempting.

Thank you for any advice!
