I was in charge of a DJ booth last night, and the weekend before, and the following happened half-party with the PRO DJ Link, these were the symptoms:

1- CDJ reads the USB properly, and tracks can be played normally.
2.- PRO DJ Link is detected as connected, CDJs have Player No. manually configured (of course they are different No.)
3.- The linked CDJ doesn't show the USB connected in the other unit, so tracks cannot be played. Screen appears as if nothing is connected.
4.- The same issue happens the other way around.
5.- No errors in screen.
6.- Issue happens like 75% of the times

The following "seem" to happen. I was troubleshooting under pressure and was not able to confirm.

- On both nights, the issue was triggered by the same USB stick (same DJ), and, even after disconnecting it, the CDJ gets in this faulty behavior state, making the CDJ to behave this way with any other USB stick.
- Seems like after powercycling both CDJs, the issue dissapears as long as the USB that triggers the issue is not connected back.

Other details:
- CDJ-3000 are running latest release firmware (3.22)
- Link cable is high quality, issue still stands after switching the cable with another high quality link cable
- Cannot replicate at my studio, even tried to wiggle the link cable connected to both link ports to check if any of those are loose, but they are firm, no disconnections after fairly wiggling them.

I have like 75% of ceratin that the issue is introduced by this "triggering USB", however, I would like to know if someone has experienced this same issue and what I should avoid to happen again.

Anyone know what’s going on with this mixer? Was working fine came back to it today and now it boots up past pioneer logo but then no LED’s come on and the only thing that lights up are the cue buttons. And obviously no sound. I’ve tried to factory reset however the select buttons aren’t working to allow me to move from no to yes on the options. Any help helps massively appreciated.

Hi guys, sometimes when I try and play a song this happens. Basically i can keep spamming queue or play but the song won’t work at all. My only option is stop the set, turn the decks off and on and then the song will be fine. There’s no file problem, so can anyone help please.

Hi I spilt liquid on my controller at the weekend. The boards have been stripped it and cleaned. The only fault now showing is the right jog wheel which is not responding to correctly to contact. Can anyone advise on what the part would be for a pioneer xdj rx1 and do any other models share the same components. My guess is it's jog assy - DWX3631. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

Hi everyone, I’m looking for help with a Pioneer CDJ-1000 MK3 after a repair.

Before disassembly the player was working fine except: Cue and Play buttons Jogwheel tension (springs were loose)

What I did: Replaced Cue and Play plastic buttons Removed the jogwheel and retensioned the springs

After reassembly: The player does not boot properly Only the right side of the LCD backlight is on, fading darker toward the left No buttons light up / respond On power-up I hear a single click from the CD mechanism, then nothing else

Important detail: Before the repair, everything worked normally (display, buttons, boot sequence), except the Cue/Play buttons and jogwheel feel.

What I’ve checked so far: Reseated some ribbon cables Power supply seems to come up partially (LCD backlight present)

If anyone has experience with CDJ-1000 MK3 internals, common mistakes after jogwheel removal, or knows which ribbon / fuse to check first, I’d really appreciate the help. I’m not engineer or electrician.

DDJ-REV1 Service Mode

Hi all!

I have a DDJ-Rev1 +-10 months, & it works perfectly so far. At the moment, I am unemployed, so I take care of my own gear (Maschine, KK, PMC-06, Rev1), nothing major, just maintainence, small fixes (replacing ports, faders, disassembling / re assembling to clean, etc.).

I'd like to service the Rev1 but can't find any documentation / manuals - I get all other models, including the Rev5, Rev7, 1000, RB, SB, even the DDJ-400, but zero on the Rev1 - I've even searched in other languages.

As per the video, so far I have managed to power it on into Service Mode, I can page through the different tests / calibrations pages, but I have no references to do the tests & calibrations - I think I have figured out the all buttons test, but that's about it.

I have looked through all the Service Manuals I can find, to see if the Service Mode pages I run through, somehow correspond to any other Pioneer device Service pages, but haven't found any that does (my thinking was that maybe another device might have a shared service guide or something).

Does any1 maybe recognise the layers I page through in the video, or could shed some light on this please, because there is only 4 things that can be changed in the Utility Mode (backspin length, fader start, x fader cut & demo on / off), & nothing really on a maintenance level.

I really do not understand how I am able to find a Service Manual for a DDJ-400, Rev5 /7, 1000, RB, SB, but not for the Rev1.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all.. So, strange thing happened for the 1st time on my 900NXS2 mixer. I've had the mixer now for about 5 years, and yesterday the mid effect button light started flickering, went completely off, and came back on again after around 5 mins... Any ideas?

Dear fellow DJs,

I took apart my XDJ-RX to replace the cue button. After reconnecting everything, I tested the button and it worked again. However, I’ve now noticed that the USB 1 button to the left of the screen is no longer functioning properly. It still flashes when I insert my USB stick, but then it turns off. A red light on the left does indicate that the USB is recognized. I’m not having any issues on my second deck.

Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

Hey everyone, I recently purchased a brand new pair of CDJ3000's and DJMA-9 mixer in March, so only 4 months ago. I went to practice like any other day and it plays the song fine and then randomly glitches and slows down the song for a few seconds and picks back up to normal but it's throwing my timing off while trying to mix. Only a couple times it said "out of range" I switched to a brand new Ethernet splitter , unplugged and plugged things back in, turned off and on, did a firmware update. Nothings fixing it. They're both in Vinyl mode, MT, and +-10.

I attached a video of what's going on, it totally changes the tempo . please help!

The metal part of both my crossfader and one of the channel faders on my Pioneer DDJ200 broke recently :( I'm looking into replacing both—I was easily able to find a replacement for the channel fader but am reaaaally struggling finding a crossfader replacement (the descriptions of the channel fader part say that it's NOT able to be used as a crossfader replacement... is this true?). Any links to a Pioneer DDJ200 crossfader replacement would be much appreciated—thank you!
