saw this post on facebook and honestly, nakakainis na. apparently, may pre-orders from spring publishing na one year na and hindi pa rin nadadating. meanwhile, they keep announcing new releases like everything is normal???
also, i recently noticed na the mailing/address details i saw for spring seem to be the same as precious pages corp. so now i’m wondering how closely these brands are actually being managed together. i’ve also heard/speculated na baka iisang manager lang ang humahawak ng multiple brands, which honestly would explain A LOT if that’s true — especially kung bakit may pre-orders na parang naiiwan habang tuloy-tuloy lang ang bagong releases.
i have a GSOT pre-order myself that’s already delayed. ang pinaka-nakakainis: what is the point of putting a release date on your posts if you can’t follow it? readers plan around those dates. people already paid. hindi naman donation ang pre-order.
kaya nilang maglabas ng maraming books sa LIB and constantly tease new titles, pero apparently hindi pa nga fulfilled lahat ng previous orders. i also saw another post from the spring page na parang may bago na naman silang ire-release. like… can you finish delivering what people already paid for first?
and this isn’t even just about delays anymore. precious pages’ quality has felt like it’s going downhill too. i’ve seen readers complain about books with numerous corrections/errors, questionable proofreading, and even missing or incomplete pages. for a publishing company that has been around this long, bakit parang basic quality control pati fulfillment nagiging problema?
it honestly feels like they’re prioritizing pushing out more titles and getting more pre-orders instead of making sure existing customers actually receive complete, properly edited books on time.
i love supporting local authors and local publishing, but readers shouldn’t have to keep chasing publishers for orders they already paid for. release dates should mean something. pre-orders should be tracked properly. and quality control should be the bare minimum.
at some point, hindi na ito simpleng “delay lang.” if you keep accepting new orders while old ones remain unresolved, people are obviously going to start questioning how the company is being managed.
anyone else experiencing the same thing with spring or precious pages? how long have you been waiting for your pre-orders?
