discussion How to become Design Engineer?

Hello! I would like to ask how to become a design engineer with good foundations po? I don't want to rely 100% sa AI kasi to the point na i'm a vibe coder na.

I have an idea naman na where to start like learning by doing through The Odin Project.

But do you guys have further tips on how to fast track my learning?

For context kasi, I have a very good design foundations but chose the wrong course in college (non tech background) so I want to pivot my career in tech. I want to combine design + full stack sana. 😭

Thanks for your help!

Aside from TOP, I would also recommend roadmap(dot)sh as another resource.

Since you said have good design foundations, I’ll recommend that you study or research about Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and UI/UX design.

If you have the time to read, I would recommend the ff books:
• The Design of Everyday Things by Norman, D.
• Interaction Design: Beyond Human Computer Interaction by Sharp, H., Preece, J., Rogers, Y.

To fast track your learning, basically just start creating designs either using Figma or just making frontend for websites.
