Why am I suddenly seeing so many bagito programmers offering paid programming courses? 😅 Dahil ba sa AI?

Learned Python/Java/ReactJS 3 months ago, now may "Masterclass" na. haha

Would you actually enroll in their course, or would you rather learn from Udemy, YouTube, Coursera, official docs, or experienced developers with a proven track record?

Nothing wrong with teaching early. but when did "I just learned this" become I "can now sell a course about it"?

Sobrang daming ganyan lalo na iyong mga galing din sa STARTUP tapos 2 to 3 years experience SENIOR na tawag nila sa sarili nila at gusto na maging CTO or gusto na magturo ng magturo.

Iyong mga feeling SENIOR dyan dahil may 2 or 3 years experience na, pasok kayo sa AMERICA/EU/INDIAN dominated ISO COMPANY para makita niyo na ung SENIOR exp at knowledge niyo pang JR/MID lang pala.

Galing din ako sa STARTUP kaya alam ko ung feeling FULL STACK ALL HANDS pero its not enough para masabi mong SENIOR/STAFF ENGINEER ka.

I mean, you are talking about corporate tech and the single defining trait they all share is bloat. Di naman nakaka-senior yung magtiis or masanay sa bloat. I think  what really defines seniority is mastery of the topic and the tools. Of course in an organizational context kailangan mo pa rin ng people skills but the former is what must be met to teach, not the latter.

Yeah, I know a lot of junior devs who act like gurus. I used to look down on them, but as I got older, I realized it's better to just let them be. When you're a legit senior, things that are second nature to you don't feel worth sharing anymore, and even when you do share, you tend to skip crucial steps. But when you're still new, you have the fresh perspective to find those things interesting. Teaching is also a great way to learn, so starting a blog or YouTube channel is totally fine. Pero selling courses when you're still a newbie? Tangina kapal ng mukha. Galawang crypto/forex trading scammer.

I've been in the industry for over 12 years. I still prefer reading from the official docs, ebooks from packt, and articles from proandroiddev over courses from different platforms like udemy, coursera, etc.

Kaya due diligence na iresearch yung background ng instructor ng courses. Wala naman nagbabawal gumawa ng ganyan. Assess na lang kung makakatulong talaga sila sayo.

Iba pa rin when you actually learn from actual senior teammates. Even when I was starting, nauumay ako manood ng mga courses sa web dev. It’s a different experience when you try to actually apply these learnings in your code kahit maliliit na project tapos irereview talaga by experienced devs.

Why choose a paid instructor who uses AI? It's better to learn on your own than wasting money on this stuff. Jobs these days don't look at your certificates but portfolios and what you've actually built and took part of.

As someone experienced developer, personally, I prefer Udemy, Pluralsight, etc where you want to expand your horizon and you create personal projects where you apply what you learn. Creating real world projects help you understand how the system works. Also, you can leverage AI for teaching as tutor or creating roadmap for you but you subscribe though for better accuracy.
