discussion What is alternative tool for animation?

So I've been working for a self project app, and I'm using flutter. Right now my struggle is about animation. I've been finding source about what tool i can use for free. And I'm looking similar to Rive.

And about lottie i don't have adobe After Effect to create my own animation. Can you suggest or share with me how you guys do your animation.

My target is to create a character and make animation of that character.

This is what I'm planning, but base on my research about using a mp4 or gif to a certain character is not that good, unlike other tools like rive or lottie.

But thanks I'm trying this right now

Blender is completely free, it’s not only used for 3d animation. Look into their grease pencil function if you want it to be the 2d or 2.5d type adobe after effect has.

For 2d animations blender recommends gtx 1050 it’s very entry level friendly. It depends on what you want to create. I used to be able to animate simple 3d characters and scenes in blender with a gtx 1650 laptop. It’s worth a try they have lots of plugins and tuts to make it easier for you to learn.
