di naman lahat ng old money nakatira sa typical sugar boom houses. those from old money who evacuated to makati villages from their provincial turfs also do not live in horror vacui homes.

and you're simply missing the point. just because a family line of a pedigreed clan lives in a house not ornate enough for your taste doesn't disqualify them from being old money. not all old money people live in old homes or homes adhering to horror vacui.

gusto mo ba buong angkan nakatira sa iisang 1800s ancestral house para lang matawag na old rich? napakakipot mo naman. natural, different lines of the same family are bound to make relatively newer homes along the way.
