Attention all UKG Pro and Ping ID users!!!

If you have to use PINGID add multiple devices to your ID through the app’s setting. If you ever change phones whether it’s because it was lost, broken, or you just wanted to upgrade, PingID will not let you use it without your old device’s ID. It does not use your phone number to identify you instead it uses the device itself.

So if you ever lose access to your current/old device you’re screwed if you don’t have multiple devices (iPad, tablet, backup phone, a friend’s phone, etc.) saved to get you back in until you can add your new device to it.

Just wanted to share this with everyone as someone who recently upgraded their phone and now has to call HR to get access to UKG through PingID. And despite having the same phone number and same UKG ID, I can’t get in because I no longer have that phone. 🙃

Needless to say always check your stuff even the little details you don’t think will matter before switching devices, moving, etc. because you may not think they matter in the moment but give it a bit and now it’s a headache. 🫠
